people get hit at shows... deal with it.. the violence is soo mild compared to shows 15 years ago(no i wasnt there, read a book, american hardcore for instance).. and cops dont come in to shows wearing riot gear to beat kids and put guns to their heads either. weather you call yourself hardcore, metal, skinhead, punk, straightedge we all have it easy. We are doing something that goes against the way the whole world works. DIY not capitalism. UNITY not division. STRAIGHTEDGE not partying. There should be a little bit of chaos within our scenes..

bottom line.. people are gonna get hit.. but when you tihnk about it.. most of us go to shows because the rest of life sucks.. and a little black eye or bloody nose in nothing campared to the emotional hardships we face in day to day life... sometimes phsyical pain feels better than emotional pain...

Im not saying everyone needs to be a hardass. But am saying most people need to toughen up a little bit.

excellant point.

heres something else to consider:
is not the definition of insanity performing the same task over and over again expecting different results? if you continually goto shows and get hit, and find it unbearable, maybe you should do something or stand somewhere where you won't get hit. seems logical enough.

i wholehearted agree. aftermath of shows should not consist of people b i t c hing over meaningless stupid s h i t, but rather of discussion on how the bands played and what we have accomplished by our own efforts at making a place for people with common interests to go to enjoy themselves. all and all, there needs to be more togetherness within the different "factions" of the "scene", otherwise we will only be defeating our own purpose. lets get our heads together here people....

well, I like the idea of unity.
fuck, I'll go to a grindcore, metal, black metal, xSEx, deathgrind, death metal, whatever... and then wake up the next morning and go see an electronic artist or indie rock.

plus, listen to my radio show, it's all thing loud and brutial.

I guess I just don't understand when some one directly turns around and starts punching straight into the crowd... Next time, I'll just tap them on the shoulder and point their flailing arms back in towards the pit.
