Did anyone from NE recently have a chance to check out the foliage up in Vermont? All attempts I've made to make it up there have entirely failed. Vermont's website says there is still good color to be found in selected areas, and this would be the week to get up there before it completely passes.

It's still in NH but not as much as a few weeks ago

i went out in Auburn yesterday, there is still some to see but most trees are bare. it was weird being outside in the blazing sun, 75 degrees with no leaves on the trees. it also seems that this year the foliage was extra colorful, some places look like they are on fire.

A few weeks ago, a few buddies and I drove up to Mount Washington. We were only allowed halfway because of snow but the colors looking out were crazy.

The only real truth about this matter will come from Hoser.

The foliage falls later in North Carolina and it's not as impressive as New England, but it does happen. It's started but we're not at peak yet... November is the most colorful.

I'm not an offal fan at all. My Uncle Paul used to eat the heart, liver, and kidneys. The heart really isn't that bad, but the rest of the shit just sucks. I typically use just about the whole animal, minus the bones and offal. The hides I typically tan and give away as gifts. The rest of it goes into my belly.

Yep, and guns. Bow season is earlier than gun season. However, this year I did not bowhunt. I'm waiting for rilfe season because it's so much closer to the rut, and there is a bruiser that lives just behind my house. It's hard to pattern him from feeding areas to the beds, so instead of stinking the area up prior to the rut, I'm gonna wait for the rut, when bucks get a little dumber and hopefully take him out. I have gamecam pics of him and he looks like a pretty sweet 10 pointer from what I can see right now. The last pic I have of him, he was in velvet, which makes it twice as hard to tell for sure.

Kill that fucking thing and send pictures. If he's a 10 pointer, shell out the cash and get him mounted! Looks like I might be taking Monday off and heading up to Twin Mt for 1 last hunt before woodcock closes.

I have the pics of him that I took in September, I just have to figure out how to import them from my gamecam. They are on the hard drive of the cam, along with a few bear pics. I usually just plug it into my TV and look at the pics (via RCA jack.) I think that I have to dl the software in order to do it on the comp.

However, if I do get him this year, and let's hope that I do...I'll post pics. Season starts Saturday.
