Ya'll should make a point to see Death Is Easy. Great Great fucking band. I'm a little biased 'cause the drummer is a very close friend of mine, and also plays in my new band, but he, and his brother Jay (singer) are the shit, and should be supported. Their music is really fucking good.
They'll have at least 2 releases that I recorded for them as well.

Deleted Arrows: incredibly cool band. Flowing around grooves, atmosphere, moments of heaviness & zen. Wonderfully constructed music!
Battlesnake: the stoner/doom soundtrack to an action/sci-fi comic projected on the wall! Music fit perfectly! Awlsome!
I Destroyer: 1 of my fav live bands! Everytime they totally annihilate! Mixing full on thrash attack w/ blasts of hardcore intensity! Awlsome!
Death Is Easy: another band that blends hardcore & thrash into a glorious sound! Leans toward the hardcore side. Really awesome set!
Attitude Problem: well um that was well different...
Bonestorm: Words can't describe how awesome & solid these guys are! Folk riffs played with a stoner/doom metal feel = A catchy & fun sound!
Metalian: There is no band better suited to headline a music fest than Metalian. No frills no compromises just pure heavy metal! Old school metal never sounded so awesome! This is a band that can do no wrong!
Overall: One of the most solid lineups I've seen w/ surprises, excellent performances & an absolute great time! |

MAST was great. super heavy and pro post hardcore. should have been later on in the bill.
LOLITA BLACK were high energy dark punk which i was suprised to see the dude from dropdead playing guitar with. really killer shit.
BOG OF THE INFIDEL- dropped off. bummer.
BELLOWS-interesting,avante garde drum and horns that was actually pretty heavy. a little weird for my taste but good.
BOVACHEVO- i think they dropped off or i missed them.
HOLLOWS-old school metally jam out played short.
NATIONAL GRID-stripped down noise rock with lots of energy. singer sang through the pick up of his guitar which was cool.
intermission to get pizza. missed deleted arrows and cowgirl. although
i've seen cowgirl before and thought they kinda blow.
BATTLESNAKE-cool and jammy 70s/80s metal sci fi rock that was
pretty awesome and fun.
I DESTROYER-probably the meanest and most brutal band of the night.
rager thrash and punk metal that makes you a little scared, the singer spit on me.
DEATH IS EASY-great hardcore from NY, the singer was painted blue for
some reason. fun shit.
ATTITUDE PROBLEM- i thought the music was kind of lame with just a drummer and bass player jammin out BUT they had THREE naked chicks
rolling around the floor and lezzing out which was freakin AWESOME!
BONESTORM-Great high energy metal. a bit hyped up in my humble opinion.
METALIAN-KILLER old school metal that capped the fuck out of a great fun night. this show was faaaaantastic and a great time. ate two 7-11 hot dogs
and a bag of chips after the show and headed home to beantown. good job everybody! |
