Dude, this whole thing is such bullshit. I would rather a cop fully investigate a break in than just walk away from it. If someone was breaking into my house, I would want the cops to check it out and my neighbors to call. Even if it's just me. That way when it's NOT me the cops aren't afraid to do something about it.

I've had cops act like total cro-mag assholes to me, (almost always Staties). On the other hand one was very gentlemanly one time I had car trouble, but that was the exception.

A cop that teaches classes on how NOT to racially profile and tried to save Reggie Lewis' life by mouth-to-mouth seems like a pretty non-racist dude to me.
