If I remember correctly in MDF I grabbed,

Old Wainds - Scalding Coldness
Arghoslent - Galloping Through Battle Ruins
Celestia - Frigidiis Apotheosia : Abstinencia Genesiis

past few weeks have been,

Destroyer 666 - Phoenix Rising
Composted - Sexual Transmission: Simplex Slam
Nifelheim - s/t
Aura Noir - Black Thrash Attack LP
King Diamond - Unreleased Demo: "The Spider's Lullabye" (Trash colored LP with poster)

toggletoggle post by Eli_hhcb at Jun 26,2009 1:03pm
I bought "Lifesblood of the downtrodden" by crowbar the other day

toggletoggle post by darkwor  at Jun 26,2009 1:03pm
That Celestia album owns. Gotta listen to it later.

Enslaved - Monumension
Thergothon - Stream From the Heavens
Origin - Antithesis
Meshuggah - Nothing

toggletoggle post by Eli_hhcb at Jun 26,2009 1:06pm
I'm a meshuggah fanboy and tuned my 7 string to F#

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 26,2009 1:08pm
Nothing was the album i wasn't too keen on for a long time, but i've developed a liking for it.

toggletoggle post by Eli_hhcb at Jun 26,2009 1:11pm
I like parts of all the albums. The weird digital talking on catch 33, All the tracks playing at once at the end of Chaosphere. the opening of Destroy erase is sweet too.

toggletoggle post by darkwor  at Jun 26,2009 1:12pm
dude, Straws Pulled At Random is one of my absolute favorite songs ever, hands down. My new goal is to get the drums down perfect on that song. I fucking love that album. Obzen is amazing too, and they were much better than I expected live...great band.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 26,2009 1:13pm
i don't care for the early early stuff like Contradictions Collapse, it sounds like a cheap Metallica rip off. but from Destroy Erase Improve on is incredible. mushrooms + Meshuggah = melted brain.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 26,2009 1:13pm
yeah they were sick live, i only saw them once with Opeth in like 01 or so.

toggletoggle post by darkwor  at Jun 26,2009 1:14pm
^^ agree. their song WAR is total destruction.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Jun 26,2009 1:18pm
That Old Wainds album is SO FUCKING GOOD. We were going to cover "Through Icy Wilderness Of The Forest" but then we just got lazy and stike a riff and called it a day. Fucking LOVE that band.

Recent acquisitions for me include the Volahn LP, Bone Awl "All Has Red" tape and Worship Black Twilight comp.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 26,2009 1:19pm
how does the Volahn sound? they were killer live.

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Jun 26,2009 1:19pm
Origin - Antithesis
Dissection - Storm of the Lights Bane

both supremely awesome

ha you already bought that origin album?

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 26,2009 1:21pm
haha yeah having Newbury Comics attached to my building is both awesome and awful.

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Jun 26,2009 1:21pm
orrr. awfully awesome?

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Jun 26,2009 1:24pm
"stike" means "stole". fuck off, I'm a semanticist.

The Volahn record rules. There's a decent rip of it floating around. I'll see if I can find a link.

Sorry to hear that.

I haven't been buying much music lately, but, in the near future, I hope to get my hands on:

Dying Fetus - War of Attrition. (surprised I actually was into this stuff after that Stop at Nothing crap)

Rotten Sound's newer one (forgot the title)

Mumakil (seriously impressed with this band)

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 26,2009 1:27pm
i found that at first War of Attrition was a really enjoyable listen, but it lost its flair after a while.

Yes, I am Mr. Cool pants.

I bought that record too, and thought it was laughable, is all. I'm a huge Crowbar fan, but that album is a almost as bad as Equilibrium.

Sorry you can't take a little sarcasm.

toggletoggle post by Eli_hhcb at Jun 26,2009 3:12pm
your clear and percice forum technique did not let the crobar spirit prevail. What's sarcasm?

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 26,2009 3:14pm
i'm glad i didn't buy that album. i only have Broken Glass and Sonic Excess in its Purest Form, which i love. Broken Glass not as much, but i do like it.

Get Live +1 by Crowbar, that is one of the greatest EPs ever.

HEY YOU GUYS! I'm the new Asst. Manager at Newbury Comics in Shrewsbury-stop by sometime, I totally upkeep the METAL section with pride and honor.

toggletoggle post by markrichardsmobile at Jun 29,2009 10:52pm
Live +1 was my first Crowbar CD. Good times.

Kolossus is amazing, very powerful stuff, save for the two songs Warmonger and The Mark of Power (I have no idea how they thought those songs were any good)...I made a copy of that CD without those songs.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jul 9,2009 3:16pm
Zyklon-B - Blood Must Be Shed (thanks to Josh for pointing out the sale section at Newbs)

I vote to ban the use of the abreviated "Suffo", as a substitute for Suffocation.
