Weird to say the least.

I dig this movie. Creepy baby-thing is awesome.

toggletoggle post by mikeofdecrepitude at Jun 1,2009 9:41am
Made me never want to have kids. Classic Lynch.

toggletoggle post by reimroc at Jun 1,2009 9:42am
Its just so fucking weird.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at Jun 1,2009 9:45am
that dinner scene, haha

what a twisted movie, it's awesome

toggletoggle post by mikeofdecrepitude at Jun 1,2009 9:47am
...This dinners getting mighty cold.

David Lynch makes me fat in the pants.

toggletoggle post by mikeofdecrepitude at Jun 1,2009 9:48am
He's a great man.

One of my all time favorites. I love the depression-era feel to it and of course all the weird shit. "In Heaven" is such a good song.

toggletoggle post by reimroc at Jun 1,2009 9:50am
The dinner scene was pretty out there but the delusions henry has of that creepy, big cheeked woman in the radiator was awesome.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at Jun 1,2009 9:51am
you guys should get the soundtrack, it's amazing black ambient

toggletoggle post by mikeofdecrepitude at Jun 1,2009 9:53am edited Jun 1,2009 9:54am
I have the soundtrack. I know it was a big inspiration for Lull and Brighter Death Now. A+

eraserhead is his most outwardly strange movie with the most WTF moments.

he has the best soundtracks. he makes my favorite films. i purposely hold off on watching them, maybe i'll watch each once or twice a year, maybe with different people, so each time it's a new experience. is that weird? yes.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at Jun 1,2009 10:18am
oh Brighter Death Now just RULES! A+++

"Innerwar" and "Necrose Evangelicum" are my faves. Have yet to hear the records after "Obsessis".

Soundtrack is total tits.

Blue Velvet is still my favorite. Frank Booth, my messiah.

He's the only reason I drink Pabst.

Love Eraserhead.

I'm watching Twin Peaks on Netflix for the first time, awesome series. I just got to Season 2.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at Jun 1,2009 4:02pm
yayyy! I love Twin Peaks

toggletoggle post by darkwornli at Jun 1,2009 4:28pm
me too, my fav next to x-files, rome, deadwood, arrested development. (why did most of my favorite shows get cancelled? haha) i wish they made just one more season of twin peaks. the ratings killed that show, nobody got it, which is why they had to reveal laura's killer in the first season, and eventually cut the show short.

i mean, i was 9 when it came out, but i was busy watching barney or something.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is a great lynch movie too, doesn't matter if you've seen twin peaks or not.

toggletoggle post by mikeofdecrepitude at Jun 2,2009 9:14am
Fire Walk With Me is incomprehensible if you haven't seen the show in its entirety. Sucks that we'll probably never get the director's cut, which would feature more scenes and characters that were left out of the theatrical version.

They revealed her killer in season two. Something they should have never done.

What was that G rated one he did with that old dude Farnsworth? Blue Velvet is sick. Wild at Heart sucked. Mullholland Drive is awesome.

toggletoggle post by mikeofdecrepitude at Jun 2,2009 10:14am
The Straight Story is the movie you're thinking about.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Jun 2,2009 10:42am
Why you gotta go ruining a nice, complimentary thread by bringing that dicklicking hack Cage into it, Rick?

toggletoggle post by BlackoutRick at Jun 2,2009 12:47pm
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I hate him too. He was excellent in Leaving Las Vegas though.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 2,2009 12:49pm
haha he is indeed a dicklicking hack. by far the worst famous actor. lots of the movies he is in kick ass, but he sucks in them. The Rock and Con Air rule.

toggletoggle post by BlackoutRick at Jun 2,2009 12:52pm
I can't stand Mike Bay movies even though Forlani was in the Rock. Unless you're talking about Transformers. Back to Lynch. Elephant Man hasn't been mentioned.

Raising Arizona FTW.

Three words. Blue Fucking Velvet. Best Lynch movie next to Eraserhead.

Great film, moving, even. No one has mentioned the infamous Dune, either! I might have to choose Lost Highway as my favorite Lynch film, mainly for it's deliberate pacing and austerity. Still difficult to choose a favorite though.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 2,2009 1:04pm
oh yeah Elephant Man was intense. Dune is awesome, its just so fucking bizarre.
