yeah its called "The Green Men". so far Eric from Zircon has expressed a lot of interest in playing drums, i just need to find a guitarist who knows Kenny's effects and vocals, a bass player and a keyboardist who knows Josh Silver's effects. unfortunately i can only sing, so it'll have to be a 5 piece. i fail at being Peter Steele.

toggletoggle post by darkwor  at May 11,2009 10:45am
Well this is another drummer expressing interest. I think finding suitable players for the rest of the instruments will be damn near impossible. Pete's bass tone comes to mind. But I think if I ever wanted to play in a tribute band, Type-O would be it.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at May 11,2009 12:42pm
i know, and getting Josh Silver's keyboard work down. that's why i only want to call it a tribute band instead of cover, i can sing Peter Steele's stuff well but some of it only he can do and i have to compensate.

If any of you haven't had a chance to see these guys yet, DO SO. Seriously the closest thing to TOOL next to TOOL itself.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at May 11,2009 1:11pm
does that mean you'll be attending reim?

toggletoggle post by reimroc at May 11,2009 1:13pm
yea i'm pretty sure i can make this. i don't see what would stop me unless i get called to the datacenter by my boss but i doubt that will happen. long story short i should be there lol.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at May 11,2009 1:17pm
Jim we'll have to have a quality session in the parking lot.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at May 11,2009 1:20pm
i don't know what your setlist is for this, but i'd like to make a request. Lateralus the way you did Aenima last time.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at May 11,2009 1:32pm
Normally i would say yes, but since we only have one time slot we're gonna play stuff from every album. Although you can expect us to play lateralus all the way through sometime later in the summer at a show that we can do multiple sets at.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at May 11,2009 1:32pm
and yes, the parking lot session is a must.

toggletoggle post by reimroc at May 11,2009 1:36pm edited May 11,2009 1:37pm
if by parking lot session you mean smoking a doob then you can count me in. i'll be rolling a couple for this event.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at May 11,2009 3:16pm
that is correct. Ralph's is the best for that, its so secluded.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at May 14,2009 6:57am
tomorrow, bitches!

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at May 14,2009 10:39am
so i guess we're playing from @12 till almost 2. Which is awesome, i hate short sets.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at May 14,2009 10:40am
this is going to be awesome. hopefully i don't lose consciousness before you play, that tends to happen to me at Ralph's. the sound guy is great there, i have faith he'll do an awesome job.

toggletoggle post by darkwor  at May 14,2009 10:49am
I will be there, late, but I'll be there. Late.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at May 14,2009 11:04am
how late? we don't go on till midnight, will you miss the start?

toggletoggle post by darkwor  at May 14,2009 11:10am
No sir, I should show up in time to catch some Layne Staley impressions.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at May 15,2009 12:58pm
blump

toggletoggle post by Yeti at May 15,2009 3:18pm
i'm pretty excited for this. Ralph's has the best vibe, it'll fit this nicely.

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at May 15,2009 6:07pm

I would still want to see that.

I need to get an amp for my keyboard. Damn it.

uhh this show was awesome and i'm at work still drunk. That is my review. oh and is it me or was junkhead not so good

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at May 16,2009 8:40am
Alsissimus and I were big on doing a Type O cover/worship band last summer. Finding appropriate conspirators was a pain in the dick and it never happened (obviously). I've got a problem... a problem with HATE.

Good luck, Yeti. And yes... Car sessions at Ralph's FTW.

And I definitely need to catch Useful Idiot this summer!
