yea Im pretty sure the scene in fight club has Ed norton beating himself to that same context, in an attempt to get his boss in trouble. I never watched that whole movie though, not sure what exactly was going on, but i dont recall there being any job interviews in the movie. This is funny though, kinda, especially the scene where you see him finally get thrown out of the room.
just the idea of beating yourself up in a closed room with someone else in order to make other people think it was that other person (to get what you want). In that way it is a ripoff.
