i'm still waiting on a 6' and a 9' tom from tama. It took em 6 months to get my 4 piece to me, it's been 4 so far.... maybe the sparklee purple finish takes longer?

I just got a Powerball too Fish. I love it. How you liking yours? For me it's the best amp i've ever played and the quality of it is impecable.

my old 5150 II settings:

boosted with a modded tube screamer. i found myself always tweaking the highs/presence to adjust to wherever i was playing, i always remembered it to be really finicky regarding the high end (which is the case with a lot of tube peavey high gainers).


powerball vs. ampeg vh for heaviest sounding amp evar

I use a Powerball with a Vader cab and it's sounding really good but... I mean...I was expecting that when I dime the bass and the Depth boost on it that the bass would be too much or overwhelming but that doesn't happen. There's enough bass and it's really ight sounding but... is it just me or could there still be more bass in there? it also might be the cab haha it's rated at 480 watts. But the crunch is amazing and it's the best best best amp for me.

Might wanna make mention that its a Peavey valve king as well, pretty good considering those things go for like what 400-500 these days? Cant go wrong with Bill J. MacGuyver.

Someone has offered selling me a Krank Revolution 100W head. Not sure for how much yet, so I will be debating that one in the near future.

In the mean time, having fun experimenting around with different tube configurations in my Peavey Valveking (yes, the budget of budgets tube amp.)

how much did it cost you to get your valve king to be modded like that?
