Anyone have any idea what this is? Blocked sweat gland? Ingrown hair? It developed about 6 days ago and I'm hoping to see my doc tomorrow. It's gotten a bit bigger under the skin and it's pretty irritating but not like super painful. Certainly not getting any better with heating pads and cortizone.

It could be a swollen lymph node. I had that a few years ago and they gave me antibiotics. It could be an ingrown hair or it could be this other crazy condition the doctor told me about when I went in for the swollen lymph. I forget what it was but he showed me pictures and it was GROSS.

Although it doesn't look like any I've seen, it could be a sebaceous cyst (simply, a blocked sweat gland).

It does not, however, resemble any I've encountered.

i don't know what they are....but i know the best way to get rid of em. soak a face cloth in very hot water, hold it to the bump, press down hard until it's not hot anymore.

If it develops that quickly, and it's not hard to the touch, it's probably a boil. ORGYMF's advice is pretty good though I tend to be a hack 'n slash kind of guy.

it actually exploded just before my doctors app. I checked it while it being kinda dark in the room and told my girlfriend to check out my sweet 'dreadlocked' armpit hair, and she screamed "IT EXPLODED YOU IDIOT! EWWWW!" haha.

the thing came back after the first one but wasn't quite as big...took more antibiotics at $40 for 5 pills and it drained and went away again....a week goes by and it comes back AGAIN for the 3rd time a lot smaller but growing slowly. Going back to my doctor tomorrow. lame.

oh, the most recent one is growing slightly below where the first 2 were.
