just how "beginner" are you exactly we have been looking for a guitarist for over a year now

toggletoggle post by TheSecretNinja  at Mar 1,2004 8:24am
i've been playing for about 4 years, self taught, not the best lead guitarist, decent rythym guitarist.

toggletoggle post by subjugate   at Mar 1,2004 8:36am
were only looking for a rythym guitarist here the basic info of what we are looking for

1. reliable transportation (we rehearse in Rockland, MA on the South Shore and play shows all over
the state.)
2. have his/her own pro equipment.(altho we have amp cabs in the practice place so all you really
need for trying out is an amp head and guitar)
3. be able to practice 2 times a week (wed and sun)
4. a job (cause we plan on recording periodicly and that cost $)

We are not into drama or being lazy drug addicts so please if you are into either of these
please don't waste our time. You must, though, be into creating heavy and catchy music so
being able to write songs and catch on to older ones quickly is key. So, that being said,
any interested folks out there please get in touch with us right quick! Thanks. e mail

few questions:
what kind of music do you play?
how long the people in your band have been playing?
average age?
and how long have you been playing together?

ok well i'd definatley be interested, although the whole age thing is a little intimidating, i'm only 19, and i'm listening to one of your mp3's right now, it's a lot harder than most of my influences, but i can adapt

toggletoggle post by subjugate   at Mar 1,2004 9:22am
i wouldn't let the age thing bother you mikee the drummer and i have been in a band together now since he was 15

i'd definantly like to hear you play

toggletoggle post by TheSecretNinja  at Mar 1,2004 9:27am
i could record something and send it to you if you want, or if you'd rather do a live audition, whichever you'd prefer

toggletoggle post by subjugate   at Mar 1,2004 9:34am
live audition would be best any chance you could try and learn one of the songs from the mp3's we have

we tune to b flat on all of them except iconoclast that song is a dropped Aflat on the 6th

jim you should have given up on him when he said this:

"my marshall 30 watt gets pretty loud so i think can drive a cab "

no, your marshall 30 watt isn't going to be enough to drive a 4x12 cab to it's fullest.

toggletoggle post by TheSecretNinja  at Mar 1,2004 10:21am
lol sorry, idk about all these labels these days, hardcore, deathmetal, the hardest rock i get into is like from autumn to ashes, and the dillinger escape plan

toggletoggle post by subjugate   at Mar 1,2004 10:28am
i had my hopes set too high oh well

just the new shit were writing has some real potential for a second guitar and even tho i can do it in the studio live it won't sound as cool

there has to be a rythem guitarist out there
