I'm digging on NAPALM DEATH, MORBID ANGEL and OPETH, but i like variety. I can't listen to 24 hours of death metal.

I like Pantera. Just because phil is a cocky asshole and a moron, and Dime and Vinnys new band sucks, dosent mean they didnt do good shit together. Cowboys From Hell, Vulgar, Far Beyond Driven, and Great Southern Trendkill are all amazing albums, and I bid to all who think otherwise to suck a cock.

(disturbed, new metallica, system, and the dftones suck, however. My opinion. Alice is incredible)

pantera has some sick riffage... no one can really diss them and have many people agree with em.

I met pantera in person once. Dimebag was the only one of them who was even remotely cool. So I will never rag on that man's ability to play guitar.

i never got to meet pantera, but i got to meet Down w/ Rex. Rex was funny cuz he was piss drunk, but phil was totally gone...he couldn't keep his eyes open. it's sad to see what he has done to himself...anyway musically, Pantera is great, Dimebag is a great guitarist and Phil's voice was great up until great southern trendkill

Pantera sucks. I have always wondered why people think they are so heavy. they arent.

check out 'far beyong driven', thats by far their heaviest album... the production on that album is sick...

as far as the rest being heavy.. it's heavy but not brutal or anything obviously... still good riffing either way.

i used to own far beyond driven. its decent at best. i dont really like their riffs. they never did anything for me.
