New site? Maybe some day.

They are closing Spike's on Thayer St. I plan on asking many questions when inevitably eat there this week.
Sept. 28 it's just going to be down to the other 3 locations here in RI.
There goes an amazing, within walking distance food choice for me.
SIGH |
|
spikes has gone a long way down hill over the years. over rated and dissapointing nowadays. |
|
wtf spikes is still amazing |
|
Branch Ave. in Prov., Tiogue Ave. in Coventry, Reservoir Ave. in Cranston, Warwick Ave. in Warwick. I think there's also one in URI.
Don't worry Brian, there's still 5 left in RI. And the Groton one isn't that far from me either. I never liked the Spike's on Thayer anyways.so whoopdeedoo. |
|
but
but
it's walking distance from my house
and the only one Rev seems to go to.
Branch Ave. and Reservoir Ave are actually ridiculously short drives for me. |
|
Yeah but he can get spikes in allston...as long as nice slice is there he'll still go |
|
Nice Slice was sitting in my belly as I wrote this thread. |
|
eh, fuck spikes.
i've had lots of spikes.
i like the pizza joint that they put where spikes (next club hell) used to be.
awesome slices |
|
next to club hell that was....damn it i suck |
|
if you like cold greasy cardboard over hot fresh dogs, then yes. |
|
the one in cov, ri is closed too...i think a bunch of em are closing. |
|

YOU MUST HAVE GONE AT THE WRONG TIME!
seriously dude, i went in there, and had two hot fresh slices.
one was chiken alfredo pizza, the other had buffalo chicken on it!
so good!! |
|
shit pizza only good for drunks and cross dressers |
|
in my time in Providence, I've really only eaten at Spike's and at the Falafal place on Thayer. Now that there's Spikes in boston it's not so much of a Providence thing when I can get it frequently.
Where are other good places to eat down there? |
|
well, i was drunk
but my friend Ed (who considers himself a pizza connisuer....and does not wear womens clothing) tried it sober and said it was great.
now i am curious about your taste in pizza.
what are some of your favorite pizza spots?
what is your favorite pizza joint chain? |
|

best place to eat in all of providence = Rodizzios (Gourment meat buffet with salad bar, imported aged cheeses, grilled pineapple, and great beer and wine selection) |
|
never been to sal's.
once i go to one, i will understand your taste in ZA
and i will try to unravel this mystery |
|
I like bertucci's too, but only rare occasions. sal's is simple and you get a 3lb 19" pizza for $9.99 |
|
i've never had bertucci's,
that sal's place sounds fucking awesome.
you like uno's?
that shit is excellent! |
|
uno's is ok.
I fucking hate papa ginos.
pizzahut, papa johns, and domnios are "ok" in that they are cheesy and greasy and scaldingly hot.
I love sal's cause I eat the pizza and then dissect the crust for a ball of dough. |
|
really?
wow, we clash on pizza.
pizza hut always makes me sick, and dominos is terrible....the sauce tastes like spaghetti o's
papa gino's is ok (i go there on all you can eat night)
my fav chain one is papa john's |
|

my fav chain one is papa john's |
fuck yes! my friend and I just discovered one hidden in a little plaza that delivers to my hood. |
|
GARLIC BUTTER SAUCE + CRUST = FREE BREADSTICKS!!!
and the pizza is pretty damn tasty |
|
oh, and before anyone says it.....they did it before domino's, and they do it better |
