The Day That Never Comes = Metallica trying to be good again and only partly succeeding to do so. There's no intensity and James' voice is much too soft. Everything is overproduced. The music is getting there but it's no ...And Justice For All.
the song = suck. the video = suck trying to relate to america to snag some fans. suck suck and more suck. and if i hear any more songs with james hetfield's bullshit therapy thrown in place of lyrics im gonna cut my head off with a fucking weed whacker. start drinking again for christ sakes

This song is pretty cool. Kinda weird that they released this slow-ass song as the single and the video song, but hopefully the rest of the album will be cool.

Kirk is the only good thing about this band ....Awsome Solos
Weak. I couldn't make it past 1:30 without having to skip forward and see if it gets any better. 3:00 and their jamming on the same crap. Is there a good part I'm missing? It's not worth searching through 8 and a half minutes to find pieces that are listenable. Metallica owes me some of my life back.
the only good thing about the song was the guitar intro. Everything else was horrendous. What the fuck was the point in making a video that long? They should've used some fucking Rambo clips
i actually think the video emphsizes the video, i was iffy about the song until now. this song is the worst out of the 3 they have released and i think i actually really like it now. i will def be buying this album

i'm still waiting for Blue Öyster Cult to sue for those slower jams.
lars really is the worst drummer in metal. i think this song is totally lame up until the last 2 minutes or so. then it starts to rock a bit. the guitars seem a little chromatic to me at times as well. they lost a lot of their feel over the years.
