Beacuse the new Indy film is approaching, I thought of this thread on the crapper last night during band practice.

List some of the worst sequels to anything, whether it be movies, video games, books, etc.
To start ---
1st on the list:
-all new Star Wars movies
-Toejam and Earl 2 (WTF? I was playing this over the weekend and it sucks)
-All the Rama books after the original one
-Robocop 2 (yes, Yeti)

Yea, if one is to go into our room, it just smells of ass. It's so bad, you can barely breathe. People are constantly passing gas. Not to mention, DestroyYouAlot eats Indian food right before EVERY practice and the place just smells like rotten eggs.

It's the best way to come up with the blast beats...just emulate the sound of your craps smashing the toilet bowl.

haha i thought the Mythologies was a good idea, it was just horribly executed. i would have loved to play a game like that with Goro.

Mortal Kombat: Annihilation sucked major balls.

Our room smells like stale pot smoke, body odor and just a hint of farts. Usually it's Tom, our bass player, that passes the smelliest gas -- lately I've just been ripping loud bread & butter (no smell) farts. Bands are gross.

Mario 2 was strange. It wasn't originally supposed to be a Mario game... but it was awesome.
I loved the enemies in it. Also liked how you could dig through the sand and stuff.

Another one: Zelda II. Everyone hates that game too. It's way different but it's awesome!

I've yet to meet one of them. It was an odd transition from the original, so I believe it when you say it wasn't originally supposed to be a Mario game. Mario 3 is probably my favorite out of the entire series, minus Mario Baseball for GameCube.

i don't really like mario 2 that much. its hard as shit and the control sucks. i get really frustrated with it but i do enjoy playing for about 10-20 mins before i fail.

I really loved the movie Cyborg (with Jean-Claude Van Damme). Then they did a straight-to-video sequel. With Jack Palance. (And Angelina Jolie in one of her earlier roles.) Total fuckassery.

i walked out of the theater during the first scary movie (i was dragged there by a girl i was with at the time). when they had the gall to make a sequel to such a horrible movie, i almost swore off going to the movies forever. to say i was incensed is an understatement.

scary movie 2 was about as necessary as blair witch 2.

one of the worst movies i've ever seen is spiderman 2. i liked the first one, although it wasn't amazing or anything, but part 2 was excruciating to watch. i kept wanting it to end, but it kept going.

the batman with jim carrey is absolutely one of the worst things ever captured on film. i'd rather watch a movie about everyone i care about being tortured and killed than see that piece of shit again.

best piece of film ever created. anyone that says anything bad about it deserves to be shot in the face.

The Sub Zero Mortal Kombat Mythologies game wasn't bad. Just make sure you play the PS one because the control on the N64 version is horrendous. And there are no movies.

It was a good concept, just horrendously executed. They most likely intended to make a bunch of them with different characters which might've been cool...but the game completely missed the mark and sucked ass in my opinion.

Another bad movie sequel = Blair Witch 2. Someone said this above.. I remember seeing that in the theater and laughing because it was so retahdid.

i'm one of the only people that thinks Clerks is a piece of shit, and Blair Witch 2 wasn't 100% horrible. it is like 95% horrible, but i do find myself watching it from time to time.

Indy comes out tonight (tomorrow). I'm sure we'll soon find out if it sucks or if it's legit. I've heard mixed stuff from critics. Been waiting 18 years for this damn movie to come out.

No one mentioned "Dumber and Dumberer". I never in my life wanted to kill myself more for giving it a chance. What a fucking shit-hurricane it was.

Also, Clerks 2 was really bad. A movie that truly proves pointless profanity and innuendo isn't that funny.

i like his movies, but kevin smith is one of the most, if not the most, overrated filmmakers ever. i find most of his movies good enough to watch a few times, but people masturbate to the guy and i never understood why. i'm waiting to see juno to see how overrated this diablo cody person is. my girlfriend said it sucked, but everyone on earth seems to think it cures cancer.

Don't get me wrong, I loved "Clerks" and "Mallrats", I just thought it got a little old with everything after. Kevin Smith is a smart guy with his head way the fuck up his ass and can be funny from time to time, but it doesn't make your movies good and/or bearable to watch.

I just saw the new Indiana Jones and wasn't that upset by it...
Tons of 'true' fans ripped it apart and I was expecting the worst but up until the ending it was pretty okay...

What can you expect after all that time with a 60+ year old Harrison Ford. At least they made light of the fact that he's old in the movie...

No way. That book was awesome.
The worst one was that prequel, New Spring.
The worst one in the actual series was Winter's Heart.

The final book is coming out next year. Memory Of Light. His son is finishing it up based on notes Jordan left behind. Apparently, right before he died he gathered his family around and basically told them exactly what was to happen in the final book.
I don't know how they are going to finish everything up in just one more book. It must be like 1500 pages long.

Yea, it's going to be very long. All of the notes are there. I'm hoping Memory of Light owns. And you know what? I never read New Spring. I'm sure that it'd probably be the worst one though.

Why were these so bad? Both of these films feature at least 50% of the first films in flashback sequences. In the Hills Have Eyes part 2, even the fucking dog has a flashback. Shame on you, Wes Craven, shame on you.

I wanted to add that Troll 2 was actually a really fun movie. It was so bad it was good. Maybe because I was drunk, I don't know. The scene where the person turns into the tree actually had some really cool effects.
