I've made this thread before, but now I have a drummer. We are in the Manchester, NH area. We play these songs: www.myspace.com/zombiejesusdefecation.

Influences include Mercyful Fate, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, Converge, Sigh, Kyuss, Death, Hamartia, Infest, Anthrax, Magrudergrind

None of these songs have vocals as of yet and we are very open to different sorts of things.

This is fun stuff; me like.

I'd love to, but the drive to and fro Manchester looks quite intimidating.

goddamit!

move to Boston.
I'd be all over this like a case of Hep-C

toggletoggle post by ZJD   at Apr 7,2008 12:44pm
Drive to Manchester? I'd be fine with driving to Boston for practice and stuff ut the drummer I found lives north of Manchester and that's kind of our half-way point. If you're down it could maybe happen, but it might be too far for him.

toggletoggle post by ZJD   at Apr 24,2008 10:24pm
We live in Merrimack and Fremont NH so we practice in the Manchester area. You are still more than welcome to jam if you're into driving.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at Apr 25,2008 7:06am
I should just fucking move.

toggletoggle post by ZJD   at Apr 25,2008 11:14am
Let me know if you do

How far is Boston from Haverhill? Haverhill seems like it would be the three-way in between spot for a jamspace.

I live in Nashua?

toggletoggle post by ZJD   at Apr 25,2008 11:56am edited Apr 25,2008 11:56am
I checked out the Blackout Frenzy stuff on myspace and wasn't too stoked on the vocals. Most of the vocals on Fusillade are pretty good, but we're looking for someone with more variety. If you are capable of more, I would love to hear it.

toggletoggle post by BlackoutRick at Apr 27,2008 1:51pm
More screams? Gutteral? Clean singing? What are you looking for? From the music I heard on your site(which is sick), I instantly thought of high pitched thrash vox such as old Exodus and Overkill.

toggletoggle post by ZJD   at Apr 27,2008 9:40pm
Yeah, basically variety in general, like I said we're pretty open, I just wasn't digging all I heard. I think the music sort of calls for it. Ideally (like really ideally), I'd like someone who could handle standing in with Magrudergrind, Cattle Decapitation, Eyehategod, Death, Infest, and Megadeth. I wasn't too big on the clean singing and am generally not(unless you consider stuff like Dave Mustaine's vocals clean).

If you want to record some vocal ideas over some mp3s we have up to give me an idea of how you'd approach this, that would be cool. If you want to just jam sometime soon, that works, too.

I used to sing in a death metal band down in Florida, if you would be so kind, email me at nothing_good_shall_last@hotmail.com and let me know when and where you practice and perhaps we might could work something out?

If you have a PA, I'd like to come up.

toggletoggle post by ZJD   at Apr 29,2008 6:51pm
The only forms of amplification I have are a half stack and a practice bass amp, which I doubt will cut it.

that's actually quite conceivable. I think Shroud of Bereavement practices up there.

dude, I have to try this out. These songs are just too punishing. I use a distortion pedal on the bass, though, that's my schtick. I could try vocals, too.

toggletoggle post by zjd nli at Apr 30,2008 10:55am
Alright, well we're looking to get a practice space as soon as we have enough people to make it worth it/more affordable, and until then we jam in my basement in Merrimack. I just checked yahoomaps for the distance to haverhill and it actually isnt much closer to me than boston, just closer to my drummer. Either way, if you want to try this out, let me know when and how works for you.
