And a shitload of records.

I am pretty sure I won't end up like some fat goatee guy on ebay all day but I can already tell that this may have been a mistake and that I may find myself even more impulsive and irresponsible about buying music now. In the past week I got:
Infest-No Man's Slave
Dropdead/Look Back and Laugh 7"
LBaL 7"
Asshole Parade 7"
Total Fury-Committed to the Core 10"
Gorgoroth-Antichrist
Iron Maiden-Killers
Hirax-Raging Violence
Sleep's Holy Mountain
Terror Level Red LP
As Long as We're All Living We're All Dying 7"
Magrudergrind/Shitstorm split
Magrudergrind-Rehashed
Mandrill LP
Jethro Tull-Benefit
Ocean/Conifer split
Seige LP
Insect Warfare-Total Extermination.
My girlfriend also gave me a Paindriver 7" and a Fruit Salad/Terminal Youth 7" split.

Do other people do this? Do you find that having a turntable in your room contributes to your poverty? Do you want to sell me your old hardcore records?

toggletoggle post by RyanPlegics  at Mar 23,2008 9:23pm
That Insect Warfare is sick. Yeah, turntables lead to tuna sandwiches for dinner several times a week.

Any suggestions for good websites to find metal and/or hardcore punk records other than armageddon?

toggletoggle post by ZJD   at Mar 24,2008 10:46pm
Daddys. It was $150 but it connects to the computer and comes with software to rip records to mp3.

heres a few

(punk/grind)
http://www.havocrex.com
http://www.cahrecords.com/
http://www.verydistro.com/
http://drstrange.com <(not the best prices but rare and endless amounts of punk/grind/metal/rock et cetera

(metal)
http://kreationrecords.net
http://redstream.org
http://www.theomegaorder.com/s.nl/sc.2/category.22/.f
http://moribundcult.com/

Judging by your taste in music the Relapse Records distro might serve you pretty well ...I've never delt with them but they usually carry a little bit of everything including crust and grind type shit.

LISTEN TO RECORDS THE WAY THEY WERE MEANT TO BE HEARD IS ALMOST AS GAY AS RICH HORROR FELLATING A FAKE PENIS FOR FUNNY PURPOSES.

Spelling "to" as "ta" is almost as gay. Not quite, because Max Cavalera would approve.

that is badass, badass, badass. was it new for $150? do you need some tricked out sound card on your computer to hook it up? i need one

toggletoggle post by ZJD   at Mar 28,2008 12:28am
New, yes. No need for tricked out anything as far as I know, just the software it comes with and a usb port. Also:

Neil Young - Zuma
Alice Cooper - Killers
Buffalo Springfield - Best Of
Weekend Nachos - Torture 7"
Terror Level Red - Lost 7"
Infest - Mankind 10" reissue

I feel like I am not doing too badly.

another good online vinyl (and other format) spot is the StonerRock.com distro.

http://www.allthatisheavy.com

i prefer the way vinyl sounds, the only down side is it's not nearly as convenient as cds or tapes. that being said, when given a choice, i'll usually buy something on vinyl vs. cd.

toggletoggle post by ZJD   at Mar 31,2008 1:08am
Today I went to armageddon and only bought two records. I had just sold an amp and had a lot of money on me, too. I think I will be okay.

Looking through records has, for me, meant really seeing lots of album covers for the first time. Ghoul's Splatterthrash has a way sweeter cover than I had thought and I had no idea Sabbath Bloody Sabbath has titties.

toggletoggle post by kadooganonymous at Mar 31,2008 10:07am
rockin titties at that

Yeah dude! Listening to vinyl is so much more of ritual than vs a CD.
