Benedictum Returns With Season Of Tragedy on March 4th

Acclaimed San Diego Metal Band Gets Even Stronger On Sophomore
Locomotive Effort

New York, NY (February 20, 2008)—San Diego's Benedictum, led by the
outrageous Veronica Freeman, returns March 4 on its second Locomotive
Records album, Seasons Of Tragedy.

Freeman has one of the most extraordinary voices in all of metal.
She, and the band, were widely hailed upon their 2006 Uncreation
debut. Now, with Seasons Of Tragedy, Benedictum fulfills the promise
it showed by transcending its Power Metal roots to achieve an across-
the-board Heavy Metal totality that owes as much to Traditional Metal
as it does to Prog, Thrash and Power.

With guitarist Pete Wells, bassist Jesse Wright and drummer Paul
Courtois waging war behind Freeman, the band has never been stronger.
Buoyed by the rush of touring with Doro, and psyched by the guest
appearances on the album of some of their friends, Benedictum is
ready to rock. Jamming on Seasons Of Tragedy are such metal
luminaries as…

Grave Digger guitarist Manni Schmidt (who duels Wells
ferociously on “Burn It Out”)

· Dokken/Lynch Mob guitarist George Lynch, who executes
dynamic solos on “Bare Bones” and a cover of Accept’s “Balls To The
Wall”

· Jeff Pilson of Dio (who produced both the debut and
Seasons) also jams on the Accept cover

· Keyboardist Chris Morgan adds flavor and color to the
album-closing title track, an instant Progressive Rock Classic, a
story-song of enlightenment and transcendence

· Guitarist Craig Goldy of Dio (who discovered the
band) chips in with some amazing fretwork on the Euro-only limited
Digipak-bonus track, “Catch The Rainbow” – this sold out before release!

Benedictum has never sounded this self-assured and righteous. Seasons
Of Tragedy is sure to win the band a legion of new fans.
