Don't worry, most of what he's got isn't contagious.

this place is still pretty empty. people need to come out.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 27,2007 8:10pm
26 beers: still a lot of friggin beers. Probably the number of beers that would kill the average human. They played some new songs. The PA at this place seems like it was upgraded a little. It sounds a lot better inside. There weren't many people there for them, but it still was good. Pat must use the same setting on his trimmer for his nicely sculpted beard strap thing and head now. convinience.

carrier, the: I think they started off with the track off the myspace. So so so good. That's 3 so's if you are counting. They reminded me of modern life is war, but with out the stupid story that mucks up every MLIW song. You can still have jaded songs with out the depressing 1950's mid-west narrative. Even after being sick for a week, the singer belted out the songs. Personally, I would be more afraid of poo'ing myself.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 27,2007 8:44pm
defiant hearts: I think that they were suppose to play a show at roman's once when I was there and were either late or didn't show or something. I forget. They said they hadn't played a show in 8 months so I don't know. They played all songs off some new CD that nobody has so there was only dancingrsing along when they played a short cover song I didn't know. They had some interesting guitar/drum parts that were a little more progressive that other parts, but everyone in the band would have their backs turned.

Wet Boy should really make photographers sign a waiver agreeing not to photograph him.

oh... SSD is one band that I never really listen to cause all the stuff I have access to is on vinyl.
someone sendspace it.

There was another guy there with a camera? I was the one in all your faces who looked like he was ready to go hiking. fucking hippies.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 28,2007 4:26pm
new lows: wow... Almost a perfect incarnation of everything that is epic about the band integrity minus the system and how exceeding capacity it could possibly be. They are so good and so raw it's awesome. Not only vocals that are in-your-face but a singer who is too. Not knowing the invisible barrier between the stage and the crowd, he jumps on the floor and follows his words into the crowd. The song that he said was new (but I don't think was) sounded a lot like living hell. careful all bands out there playing shows with new lows. they will probably blow your band out of the water.

for the worse: this band had me at the first time I saw them with 2 words that will echo true into history, Morrissey Sucks. I hate that dude so much. The whole show really didn't have that last show vibe to it. no girls there crying with their mascara running. no hugs. it seemed more like the time on the wonderyears when Kevin Arnold would realize that he was "too old for this shit". no big hoopla, just an ending of one chapter after 22 minutes. that means none of the childish antics that happened through the history of FTW shows. no nudity, no blood (from the band), and no knife fighting monkeys. The most telling part of the night was when our own patmeebles got his blood on mike mccarthy's palm and you heard him say "wow, that does suck". It does suck that this fun band is gone and with it most of your chances of seeing something different on hardcore bills in the boston area. they were always a breath of fresh air between the unity and brotherhood bands. Something that was always unexpected and might just end in the floor of the venue needing a bottle of bleach.

ps: the floors at welfare records are carpeted. please keep them blood free.

FTW is back in 2009. This is the last show until then, not the last show ever.

wassamatta you no like my wonder years reference? a lot can happen in two years brother. just think back about how much you have changed.
hold on for one more day.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Nov 28,2007 6:49pm
I've never changed my underwear in all the time you've known me. FACT.

toggletoggle post by PatMeebles at Nov 28,2007 7:40pm
Wait, I got blood on his palms? That whole set was really just a blur for me.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 28,2007 7:49pm
yeah, one of the times you went to the stage and just screamed "BLARGGGG"

toggletoggle post by PatMeebles at Nov 28,2007 7:50pm
I didn't even say any actual lyrics?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 28,2007 7:55pm
im pretty sure you didn't say a single lyric anytime you got the mic. all I would hear is "BLARGGGG!" and then you would thrown off the stage.
