got all 4 of mine pulled at 10am this morning. The first 15 or so seconds of that IV in my arm was fucking incredible. Dentists have the best drugs. My problem was the drugs started wearing off before i could get home and pop my hydrocodone so i had a good 20 minutes of unbearable piercing pain. But ever since then i've been soaring up in the clouds.

It just sucks that i'm so hungry and the only things i can really eat are soft foods like tunafish or things like crackers that i can break up. So i'm fuckin starving and just want a taco.

Oh when the nurse was escorting me to the recovery room i totally groped her the whole time.

carina is getting hers out next thursday.

whhoaaaaa. Good luck. I had all 4 of mine pulled a while ago and the pain medication they gave me didn't do a damn thing! It was horrible. The pain and inconvenience lasted me more than a month.

FTW! mine as well, they all grew in perfectly straight back in like 03 and i have had no issues. having your wisdom teeth stay in is a deeper connection to nature. you evolved suckers can eat it.

I will remember to hit your funny bone with a hammer.

Rev, I don't know what's particularly wrong with your back but try walking barefoot more.

? i have so many back problems. do elaborate.

toggletoggle post by Martins   at Nov 3,2009 1:09pm
A lot of basic back and foot problems are caused by the (unconsciously) modified gait/stride that shoes cause. If you do a comparison, when you walk around with shoes you'll notice that you'll tend to land with the heel. If you walk around in your barefeet or socks (or shoes that mimic barefoot walking while preventing being socially ostracized) you'll notice that you'll land more with the ball of your foot.

Walking in shoes weakens a lot of muscles all the way up to your back and stepping with your heel first fucks up a lot of nerves. When I'm at home, I walk barefoot as much as possible and I definitely notice a difference in mid-upper back problems I sometimes have.

Martins more like NPRtins. This has been explored most recently in 2 new books about running (both authors have been running the talk show and NPr gambit). Here is piece by the author of "born to run"
http://www.popsci.com/entertainment-amp-ga...ng/article/2009-05/running-barefoot

I think that is the book that has 70 year old running 400 miles.

toggletoggle post by Martins   at Nov 3,2009 1:18pm
Yeah, running barefoot is great though I am of the belief that the body wasn't made for long-term cardio but more short bursts of energy caused by fight-or-flight responses. There are also lots of foot exercises to strengthen feet muscles which will in turn benefit posture and back problems.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 3,2009 1:19pm
The other book discusses that your foot's strength is that it is an arch and when you wear "arch support" you are really pushing up on the key stone of the arch in your foot. This is the weakest place in/on an arch.

toggletoggle post by Martins   at Nov 3,2009 1:20pm
Indeed it is true.

that's what i figured when you said that. i prefer to walk barefoot, i only have shoes on when its necessary. one of my biggest life motto's: "maximum relaxtion cannot be achieved until shoes have been removed".

toggletoggle post by Martins   at Nov 3,2009 1:23pm
Also, sit less.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Nov 3,2009 1:24pm
i have a much worse time standing than i do sitting. they probably correlate, but if i stand at a show for too long it feels like my lumbar area is on fire.

toggletoggle post by Martins   at Nov 3,2009 1:29pm
Yeah I get that same pain but that's almost definitely a posture/foot problem. I notice that that has decreased a whole bunch with me too.

I mean, just in terms of how our body was made, we weren't born with shoes on.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Nov 3,2009 1:30pm
very true. i'm doomed to suffer back pain, height isn't all its cracked up to be sometimes.

toggletoggle post by Martins   at Nov 3,2009 1:32pm
We weren't born with clothes on either but that's gay

WRONG. The human body is made for long, but slower (speed-wise) cardio. that is why in speed, most animals beat us, but in distance, we can out run almost any other animal.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 3,2009 1:40pm
"Another postulation is that early hunters chased down animals until they overheated and were too exhausted to run anymore. "

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 3,2009 1:41pm
try running (jogging not sprinting) with a dog and you will see who is better at the end of the run.
