DragonForce is the prime example of advertising dollars over talent making a band successful. They are a mediocre at best power/prog metal band.

I had a friend convince me to go see them once. Oh man....after 3 songs we were both out of there. And he actually liked Dragonforce before seeing it live. I guess he never put it into perspective before that.

I've been saying this ever since they came out. I managed to convince a few people, but this video will definitely help.

I'm fully aware that it's crap; it's like somebody took Journey, Bon Jovi, and Nitro and mixed them up in a gay blender full of gay sauce. But sometimes I still find myself listening to it and chuckling.

The guitarist in my first band used to do that, over the neck / under the neck, "OMG guys dis riff iz so E-Z LOL" crap. I used to want to impale him on a 4-necked guitar.
