The drums on this album are pretty much unprecedented, in regards to both recording and playing. Guitars are still heavy and evil, and there is an actual Bass presence on this album.

Sounds cool. I didn't even know they had a new album out (most new metal is gay so I don't really pay much attention to any new shit). Behemoth is pretty killer though, I'll check the new album out.

It's a really good album but I wouldn't say it's the best. I would rather blast Zos Kia Cultus before this one.

The drums are pretty awesome and sound way better than what was on Demigod. Vocals are back to the original acoustic sound instead of the vocal effect layering crap. The riffs are bigger and more improved.

This album is probably one of the most devastating cds I've heard in a long time.

I don't know what kok's taste is in drums but hello triggers and dry production.

the white zombie album in question sounds 10,000 times better. too bad white zombie sucked live.

I listened to "The Apostasy" for the first time today even though I've had it on my computer for months. It's ok, but I definitely agree that the drum production is nothing to write home about.

Did you watch the recording sessions they video taped?
The producer even goes as far to say that he built a room to capture the acoustics better, just for drums.....acoustic drums.
Did you even listen to the album? How can you say that snare is triggered??

because there are 0 dynamics in the sound...not that it matters much, it still doesn't sound that great. They must not have had as much of a budget for the new record because it doesn't sound nearly as huge as 'demigod'.

word on the street is that your gay-converting allies down south (i know, i know... ever since that schism in the union, things haven't been the same) have had great success utilizing the new and superior Azarath CD. you might try this on your own ears to curb those hush-hush bisexual tendencies i've been hearing about. the blasting on that CD ought vanquish any lingering curiosities.

Behemoth sucks. they always have. i have no idea what the hype for these guys is, but they fucking blow. White Zombie destroys Behemoth, hands down.

you want to hear a vicious album with awesome production? listen to the new Marduk. that album is fucking savage.

I see what folks are saying about the production, but I approve. It's a complex, dense album - I'll be giving this a few gos on the headphones.

p.s. behemoth drumming...sorta fast...yeah...that's about it...
