other than that I own the cd or record

I have no fucking shame whatsoever. I use soulseek, daily - but - I do not share anything other than the BMR full length because I am an asshole. I just got the new Cephalic Carnage and it is fucking awesome. End of statement.

I use Soulseek. I've gotten thousands of songs from it and have no shame. I'm the kind of person who still buys the album though because I like to have the liner notes and artwork in my collection.

Basically you download a small program and then use sites like these:

http://www.torrentspy.com/
http://www.kerrazy-torrents.net/ [best for music]

to search for stuff. You click a link for the torrent, it opens up in whatever program you picked (I use Bittornado I think) and downloads. No fucking snotty people, no lines, and since you're downloading off of peers and seeds...someone going offline doesn't affect your download.

I pay out the ass to see the bands live instead.

I use Soulseek all the time; I still buy CDs/records every now and then, but I usually download shit. If I download something I like a LOT, then I might hunt down an actual copy and buy it.
