i am really, really interested to see this. everything "black metal" related was done from an outside perspective. he is creating it having lived in the center of all of that shit. Darkthrone fails to disappoint.

unfortunately i'm not reading good things about this. everyone is saying the same thing, its pretty pointless and goes nowhere. its mostly introspective views and tons of nature footage with barely any dialogue. i'd still like to see it.

thought it might be exactly what he was going for, no one really knows much about Nocturno Culto.

This film is by no means ground breaking but, definitely worth owning if you've been following this band.
Some of the highlights are the DT rehearsal footage and the Too Old Too Cold vid. Also, being an avid fisherman I thought the Ice Fishing scene with Grutle Kjellson and Cato of Enslaved was a pretty cool intro to the movie.

RURAL BLACK METAL ISOLATION

Oh yeah, this film gave me a chance to hear Aura Noir whom I never really gave the time of day. Actually, I was seriously under the impression they were another terrible symphonic blackmetal band, but they kick arse. Definitely reminiscent of old Celtic Frost.

Like everyone has said, it's pretty hit or miss. The five seconds of Gallhammer footage is pretty sweet and the soundtrack is killer, but there is a ton of filler

I play a lot of "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater" to prepare for my life of solitude. I just hope I don't get sick of reticulated python and those weird octagonal Russian rations.
