i am not familiar with alot of Ancient's work. i had "Mad Grandiose Bloodfiends" but it was gothic Cradle of Filth wannabe crap. however i have heard an earlier song called "Det Glemte Riket" which was 1000x better, but i have been weary about picking up anything due to how bad "Bloodfiends" was.

i dont see why people dont like deftones. i have no problem with them. theyre not "heavy" but they still fun to listen to.

I just consider them hard rock. Nothing metal about them. They are cool to listen to.

Im so disapointed I've never seen them live.

I was watching the live version of "The Cry of Mankind" from the "For Darkest Eyes" DVD yesterday and I had to try very hard to not go for the razor blade when I went into the bathroom later.

MDB definitely drags my spirits through the mud, but as soon as I hit 'Stop' I feel alright again! I never actually considered killing myself while listening to them.

My friend is really into them, he told me they've played the U.S. before and I guess the crowd responses weren't very good. I guess people got mad Aaron didn't break into a freestyle or the band didn't go into a mosh part or something...
I would love to see them play around here. Rotting Christ is another one I've been dying to see live.

Oh man, seeing Rotting Christ would rule. That's probably more likely than MDB considering Aaron has said he doesn't want to do tours anymore, just the occational festival.

you seem like a total death head!

i grew up on obscure thrash to mainstream type thrash and wasn't that big into death metal but coming from a death head what would you consider the best 'thrash' band from the late 80's/early 90's? i'm just curious.

Which albums? ST i only like the S/T, How Will I Laugh... (saw them on this tour back in the day and the pits were crazy then), and Lights... Other than that the new new stuff is horrible and well just not the same. Join The Army was really weak to my ears even though its a sk8ers anthem.

Anthrax I really enjoyed Spreading the Disease, Among the Living, Persistence of Time. State of Euphoria was decent.

RAZOR

DARK ANGEL
PESTILENCE
DEMOLITION HAMMER
PROTECTOR
SODOM
KREATOR
DEVASTATION
RIGOR MORTIS
SADUS
DESTRUCTION

haha, yup i have all the above on cd. I still have my damaged/warped 12" LP of We Have Arrived! Maybe its worth some $$$.

I also have every Metal Massacre compilation from #1-9. Most of them are on LP with #7,8,9 on tape. I think i'm gonna ebay them!

Razor was ok but i enjoyed their Shotgun Justice (slayer wannabe) album. Pestilence thrash? Considered them death metal. I do have Malleus Maleficarum and consuming impulse on tape and thinkin yeah there are some thrashy riffs here...

I really like Believer Extraction from Mortality and Sanity Obscure.

We must never let our Europe be taken for a ride

We look with caution to the east
We can see the red flag on the beast
Countless millions have died at the Marxists' hands
We would fight and die to keep our land

war of attrition is pretty damn good in my opinion; there are mixed opinions of it all over here, which is understandable considering the fact that dying fetus haven't really stepped out of their style or done anything revolutionary. i think it's a step up from "stop at nothing," and more in the direction of "destroy the opposition." solid grooves, signature dying fetus sweeps in every other riff, etc. etc.

Ever look at the inner sleeve?
The remastered version I've got had this story about how none of them spoke very good english, so they had their english and female manager help with the lyrics and that's why they're so fucking gay. That's a tough fuckin sell right there. Also, if you think London Leatherboys is questionable...pay closer attention to "Love Child." Holy shit.
