NEW YORK (AP) - New York-based shock jocks Opie and Anthony, criticized by
Catholic groups for broadcasting a live account of a couple allegedly having
sex in St. Patrick's Cathedral, had their nationally syndicated show canceled
today. ``Based on recent events, the Opie and Anthony Show has been canceled,
and will be replaced by other programming beginning Friday,'' WNEW-FM said in
a statement. The station, owned by Infinity Broadcasting, offered no further
comment. The pair had been pulled off the airwaves Monday, three days after
the stunt was aired. |

although I hate these too jokers more than I hate howard stern, they have to understand that radio is not "free speech". It is 100% regulated and mandated by the FCC. These clowns don't seem to understand that. Radio stations, including WUNH, have lisences and rules that you need to follow.
oh well, too bad for them. and sex in a church? how original, catholic priests have been doing it during choir practice for years. |
|
I hope they get hit by a bus |
|
I hate them too. They have been kicked off two radio stations. They should set themselves on fire. |
