New site? Maybe some day.

Anyone need a guitarist or want to form something? Doesnt have to be a long term band, but just enough to start off with a decent set/demo.
I've played for about a decade (in 3 long term bands) and I have pro gear. I'm located in the New Bedford / Buzzards Bay area of Mass. Looking for local people; not willing to travel an hour to practice.....yeah, bitch if you want......
INFLUENCES:
Niden Div. 187
Marduk
Amon Amarth
Nachtmystium
Krieg
Moonsorrow
Emperor
Finntroll
Mithotyn
Dawn
1349
Trelldom
Wintersun
Gorgoroth
ENSIFERUM
...and the classics: death, slayer, black sabbath

what bands were you in before? i've been wanting to start a side project like this for a while and i'm in new bedford. i don't have a whole lot of time on my hands, but i'd be curious to hear any samples if you've written anything and see if i could scrape together some time to do a project like this for fun. |
A lot of good influences, good luck man. |

it would be better if we could meet up and show you in person, my new material. my old bands dont compare the new riffs. email me. |
what instrument(s) do you play, by the way? |
Wow. Look for me to start harassing you to play, soon. |
Niden Div. 187 is awesome. I was writing some stuff similar to that but I got derailed. |
interesting.. i live in middleboro (currently) and am looking to start a BM band as well |
coincidentily, middleboro is one of my favorite Mass. towns |
also, FOR THE SAKE OF NEW ENGLAND BLACK METAL, please email me if youre serious. i have 2-3 songs already written and its mainly BM with a lil thrash in there......im not too too focused on the viking/folk part, i just love those certain bands..... |
Got some good taste, man. Too damn far from me, though, and I'm not looking to do strictly black metal stuff at the moment. |
bump
other bands i'm into: Taake and War -aka- "Total War" |
I'm fairly interested; however I might be moving closer to boston soon because of my job. |
no idea when youre moving? |
i'd have been more serious if it was closer to viking/folk material, but good luck and i'd like to hear your stuff. |
theres always a way to compromise. i do write alot of melodic riffs, so until someone hears them, only they can be labeled "pure" BM or more on the VM/FM side |

Cold and darkness, coming.....NOW to New England. Makes for GREAT black metal inspiration! |
bump for it almost being 8:30 |
bump for already being drunk on a friday |
nice thick bitch
please, no one join this kid's band. We need more brit-pop and indie rock tards in Boston |

Yahoo maps thinks Worcester is an hour and a half from New Bedford, and that Medway is an hour. It also thinks Medway is 45 minutes away from Worcester, which is absurd. |

Yar. Just got done moving. My girlfriend and I moved in with her folks to save up for a place. It has its downsides, but there's a pool table and beer on tap, so I'm not complaining.
Plus her dad's captain Irish band guy, so I get to record with his guitars and the mandolin. Score.
well if ya bored, let me know im next town over in millis, usually drinking... |
Mandolins are soooooooo black metal. A leprechaun told me so. |
also, a troll said the same |

If you have a bard in your party who's playing the mandolin, you can get a +1 morale bonus to hit said troll. It's a fact. |

I have wise, old, talking, walking trees, does that help? |

What's ironic (although UA may not find it to be so), is that CTb0rderpatrol and myself may end up playing in a project based on this thread, but it's an hour and a half away from New Beffuh. If you were interested in travelling, though... |
nah, i stand by my "not traveling over an hour concept" |

You ever do any recording with Acid or software like that? I'm always down with some online collaboration. |
