OK, so I really wanna take a trip somewhere by myself to meet new people and see new things and to prove to myself that I can be a grown up. But, my parents hate me and would never let me leave. They get pissed when I drive an hour and a half to see a show in Phx. I wanna say fuck it and just go somewhere, but I'm afraid of the consequences I'll have to deal with when I get back. Plus, the other half of my has-gone-no-where-in-four-years-relationship sides with my parents on everything... he's like my mom when i'm away from mom and I hate it. I couldn't even go to the college I wanted 'cos my parnets keep a tight leash (yeah, i'm 22 and i've never been away from home for more than 5 days... sick, huh?)... Anywhoo... Should I say fuck it, book a trip and go? I need to get away from here and do my own thing. Plus, you all here seem pretty fun and neat-oh, so maybe I can come and visit and you can see what a big dork I am. TeeHeeHee So, I need some opinions here.

eh my parents were kinda the same way... tho not that drastic....

when i was 19 i just said fuck it and told them i already had a bus ticket to toronto and i was staying with friends... they had a "discussion" (tho i was gonna go no matter what) and decided to let me go...

i go places all the time... i just got back from drivin to and from toronto this past week.... with some common courtesy (calling when i get there calling when i get home, etc) they have become a lot more relaxed...

id say sit down with ur family and talk to em... *shrug*

i say go for it..do whatever YOU want to do as long as it makes you happy and you are not hurting them...let your parents grow....realize you are mature etc.

once you get to whereever you want to go, call them...tell them you are ok...and then if they start yelling..tell them..listen...i still called...talk to you later...i dunno
