Black Box Recordings Press Release: THE WAYWARD Embarks on US Fall Tour

DC post-hardcore band The Wayward kicks off its US fall tour tonight
in Brooklyn, NY, converging for one night only with the Relapse
Contamination Tour (featuring Jucifer, Unearthly Trance, and Fuck The
Facts.) The Wayward will then continue on and traverse the entire US,
landing on the West Coast in late October.

No strangers to the touring life, The Wayward average over 100 shows
per year. This is the band's third major tour of 2006.

MTV.com has hailed The Wayward as "a bizarre hybrid of Amphetamine
Reptile-style noise, Dischord post-punk and epic prog rock." Renowned
hardcore zine Hanging Like a Hex has described The Wayward thusly:
"Take the prog rock majesty of all that is King Crimson, mingle it
with the witty guitar licks of The Jesus Lizard, and have them duke it
out in Steve Albini's basement and you'll get a hint of what's going
on with The Wayward."

The Wayward's new self-titled album is out now on Black Box
Recordings, the label founded by Versoma frontman Mike Hill.
