I've had viruses disguised as IE updates too. In fact all the current spyware I get comes through IE pop-ups which are somehow backdoor-ing through my Windows XP.
This is a propaganda piece. Firefox is awesome, and has solved all my problems.
Well...PC browser problems. Not much I can do about my face or lack of sanity.
I just donwnloaded Opera cause both IE and Firefox have been crashing like crazy. Except for a few issues Opera is much faster. My computer is on the fritz though so I'm sure Opera will start crashing any minute now...

i got one the other day that said " we have reconized that there are 1000's of porn sites stored on your computer not only can these sites install spyware but can also can destroy your job and your love life download our scanner now to get rid of these sites." funny thing was i didn't go on any adult sites cause the computer was at a school and there was also now way of getting rid of it unless you crtl alt del it
