I haven't lived in Ma all that long but it's better than Florida.

MA sucks and so does the rest of this country

Agreed.

I'm selling my condo and moving to NH a.s.a.p.

Been looking at a couple houses in Laconia. That way I can see lots of floppy old biker lady tits during bike week.

Guns, no sales tax, lower property tax, lower housing prices (by FAR), cheaper OPTIONAL car insurance, and saggy old lady tits. I don't know why anyone still lives here in MA.

toggletoggle post by chrisnli at Jul 16,2006 12:54am
NH prop taxes are astronomical because we dont tax everything else

Wrong.

Do some searches on a real estate site. I pay over 2000 on a CONDO. My parents own a .25 acre lot and pay about 5000.

The properties I'm looking at in NH run about 2000 for a 1-2 acre lot, 2000 square foot houses.

That is cheaper, no matter how you pick it apart.

2000 for taxes or 2000 for rent?

toggletoggle post by chrisnli at Jul 16,2006 1:04am
and you dont think thast alot

my father pays over 6000 a year in Washington NH, which has a pop of about 1250 ppl.

2000 for property taxes.

In that article, you'll notice it says throughout that NH has relatively high property taxes. They're one of the top 5 in the counrty, actually. However, thats because Ma has a lot of huge expanses of crap out west with low taxes. Best way to put it: I couldn't afford property taxes right in the middle portsmouth or other cities, but then it'd still be cheaper than owning land in boston or plymouth.

exactly my point.. read this paragraph from which you just posted

New Hampshire comes in second. Although it has relatively high property taxes, like Alaska it doesn't impose a sales tax and it doesn't tax wages (although it does tax investment income).

This is the neighborhood I live in now.

For me, the taxes are going to be a bit cheaper. NH is a huge property tax, and I may have mis-represented myself when I said the taxes were cheaper. For me, they are. However, compared to the rest of the country NH is expensive as hell.

toggletoggle post by ArrowHead nli at Jul 16,2006 1:24am
Also, note that the property in NH is almost 200,000 CHEAPER.

toggletoggle post by chrisnli at Jul 16,2006 1:36am
Im not going to argue with you righ now, but might I suggest looking in a surrounding town like Tilton, which is about 10 minutes from LA, and not nearly as much as a prop tax as LA
