I feel like getting some Krisiun, since I've managed to avoid getting anything by them yet, but I only have the cash for one. Suggestions? Preferences?

They're all good; and they all sound pretty much alike to me, there's no big differences between albums. If I had to pick one, it would either be Black Force Domain or Apocalyptic Revelation.

I don't really agree, I think their catalogue is pretty diverse.

For example, Assassination is waaaaay different from the older stuff.

If you are looking for really raw, evil Krisiun go with what Ryan suggested. If you are looking for more highly polished modern DM with mid-paced parts more often, try Works of Carnage or Bloodshed.

Assassination is really really cool, but maybe not a good choice for a first Krisiun record. I recommend either Conquerors of Armageddon or Ageless Venomous. To me these are the best Krisiun albums and most representative of the band's best qualities.

My choice would be Burn the Promised Land. Oh wait, that's Rebaelliun. much better band in my opinion, for that style that is.

start off with either apocalyptic revelatoin, conquerors, or ageless venomous. they've never put out the same album, but never changed their sound/approach. those 3 are essential. i think apocaplyptic is the most under-rated.
