I was just about to ask the same question...

my iPod never connected to the internet, your media player (iTunes, Winamp, etc.) connect to the internet

Winamp > iTunes (and it has built in support for the iPod now)

http://www.redchairsoftware.com makes alternative software for ipods dell, creative, rio, and iriver mp3 players. Die itunes!

awesome! so I can pay for another software?
it's like $20 of that program

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Jun 27,2006 9:16am
winamp does the job.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 27,2006 9:17am
what about the most played? I like that option

toggletoggle post by DreamingInExile   at Jun 27,2006 9:53am
I believe winamp does the most played thing, winamp also allows loading of playlists, etc. and the media library in Winamp 5 is one of the best I've ever used

when I uploaded some files on my iPod to winamp some of them didn't go through...which is kinda crappy because I just changed computers a few months ago. but you can't even attempt that with iTunes, so...again...advantage Winamp.
