I posted it on craigslist too for $250, but I'll take $220. I'm in Peabody.
It's purple, with S-inlay, 22 frets, stock pickups.
Not really good for metal, but good for anything else.

With an original floyd and thicker guage strings (it's only a 24.5 scale) it would make a badass metal guitar.

The dude from dragon force uses one (or one very similar).

This guitar is well worth 220 bucks.

you have any pics?

toggletoggle post by DreamingInExile   at Jun 22,2006 1:35pm
wait, is it one of the newer ones with the ZR bridge?

I dont know what year it is, but the guy in the GC thought it was a later model maybe 2001, according to the inlay and color. Ibanez website only lists black ones.

I'm pretty sure all of the oens with the S inlays had zero resistance trems.

I think the shittier bridged ones before those had the oval inlays.

hmmm. I'm definately interested. I'll probably have to unload one of my existing guitars first so the Mrs. doesn't have a coronary when I come home with another new guitar. HAHAHA

it plays fine, intonation is good and everything, action is good,
I just dont like the sound of the pickups, and I dont feel like buying better pickups, I'd rather sell this and then find a good Jackson or something else. I have the cheapest Jackson ($169) they had in the GC, and I like its sound better than this. Also the locking trem annoys the shit out of me.

yeah, I like the concept of a ZR bridge. I need another guitar so I can have one tuned to either E or Eb, all my others are tuned lower.

Winter - B (main guitar for shroud)
Jackson DKMG - B (backup guitar for shroud, main guitar Excrementorium)
Ibanez RG520QS - D (Coffin Birth)
ESP M-107 - POS 7 String that I'm in the process of rebuilding into a better guitar)

Also, I'll trade this guitar for a decent 4x12 cab. I have a Spider II head - that's another long story lol...
Basically it sound great at low volumes..

toggletoggle post by PryoryofSyn  at Jun 22,2006 1:52pm
wait, is this Mark??
you're in a band with Pete? Cool! He was telling me about that band!
Yeah give me a call so I have your #..

toggletoggle post by DreamingInExile   at Jun 22,2006 1:56pm
haha, yeah, Pete's cool shit.

I'll buzz you later on after I get outta the office today

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Jun 22,2006 1:59pm
It's pretty nice, if I had the $220 I'd throw it your way.

Yeah, I have a Spider II head also....great at low volumes, great for the price, doesn't hold out at those louder rangers though.

that's definitely not a ZR trem. looks like a crappy trs.

toggletoggle post by blue nli at Jun 22,2006 2:19pm
its a lo pro trs.

toggletoggle post by DreamingInExile   at Jun 22,2006 2:23pm
yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'd probably just end up blocking off the bridge anyways

toggletoggle post by PryoryofSyn  at Jun 23,2006 1:19pm
bump.

toggletoggle post by PryoryofSyn  at Jun 30,2006 1:03pm
anyone still interested in this??

it comes with a bag of dead rats!

toggletoggle post by PryoryofSyn  at Jul 11,2006 8:37am
ok, since nobody wants to buy it, I think I'll get better pickups for it.
Any suggestions? THe stock pickups just sound horribly "muddy" to me. I wont get the most expensive ones tho, so something middle of the road, but with a nice crisp tone and lots of high end.

I'd say bite the bullet and get a DiMarzio X2N for the bridge, it's probably (if not) the hottest passive pick up and has monsterous tone (ask Tom in Porphyria how he likes the X2N, he has one in his Gieger RG)

the neck pickup I'm not sure, I've been looking into the PAF series from DiMarzio, because I love the tone they have, and unless you use the single coil, I'd just leave it.

I've linkified both pickups I mentioned above, for your surfing convenience. and if Blue has more tonal insight, listen to him over me :-P

DiMarzio X2N - Bridge
DiMarzio Virtual PAF - Neck

the other nice thing is both of these together won't break your bank.
