anyone feel like there are no good instrument stores left? either, the shit is all brand new korean/chinese junk, or, its vintage worth while gear that is 200-500% overpriced. am i missing something here? fuck buying online, i need to play it first. does anyone have any quality shops to suggest?

There's tons of little music stores that sell exclusive shit that Guitar Center & Daddy's don't sell. The Guitar Gallery in Amherst, NH sells MesaBoogie and The Guitar Garage in Methuen, MA sells Orange Amps/Heads from what I hear. Those little places are where you want to go for really great equipment.

Oh shit, yeah, forgot to mention I'm mainly talking about electric guitars, but the same idea stands for guit heads/cabs/effects pedals.

Little shops (at least in my area) suffer from the same problems: either its allllll new horseshit or alllllll way overpriced beaten vintage gear. Time to buy a ski mask and a heavy duty crowbar.

where do you live? i definetly dont have that problem.

take in mind: 80% of all guitar buyers are aiming at the $400-$1000 range, so its only fairly logical for them to be carrying overseas made guitars.

i only own japanese made guitars. definetly dont have a problem with it either.

i stumbled across a new guitar store today, in between harvard sq and central, on mass ave, i dont know much about them, but there was some really nice lookin shit in there.

oh, and i think guitar center is gonna open a store in Milford, MA... if anyone cares, they just bought a local shop a few days ago there.

I like Carlino guitars, I can't go near the USA Deans because, yeah they're triple digit but also too heavy for my girl shoulders. The Korean shit for me, even if I don't want to eat doggies.

Eddie's a nice guy, he fixed the guitar I bought for free, replaced the pickup gratis.

NEW HEKSERI = DEAN ENDORSEMENT. I'm on that shit.

I'm located near the SE MA/Eastern RI border. Sucks.
