As much as I hated Napoleon Dynamite, my irrational love for Jack Black will probably move me to see this in theaters. And it's about Lucha Libre, who doesn't love that!

I just thought Napoleon Dynamite tried way too hard to pull of the off-kilter ironic comedy/indie movie thing. The writing was forced and made no sense in any context, even for the absurdist comedy it was really really trying to be.

I've tried to watch it multiple times, but haven't been able to make it all the way through yet.

I agree it was very ironic/indie, I guess that's just what I liked about it, it was just totally unlike everything I'd ever seen before.

It also reminded me of that one kid I had in my school growing up, you know? And there were a lot of quotable lines. Most people around me probably wanted to kill me after I said "A frickin 12 gauge, what do you think?" for the 8 billionth time.

I wanted to hate it, but I couldnt.
The movie is fuckin funny.

The steak scene? cmon.

N.D. had a few really funny moments (guy shooting the cow in front of the school bus) otherwise, I was not impressed much.
I did understand their humor and what the movie was trying to do, but I just didn't think it was that funny.

napoleon dynamite is one of those movies that has way too much time between funny parts, but after you watch it, you realize it's so quotable and even the unfunny parts become funny when you quote them out of context.
