As for Noise, there is a lot of great shit too.

I don't know if it's as good as darkthrone. But I know what your saying. Really good black metal will give you that trance like feel. I've never heard Neptune Towers but if Fenriz is involved it must be good.

It IS as good as Darkthrone. And often with sounds black metal is not capable of producing.

You like Blut Aus Nord? Sick ambient black metal, not too electronic though.

French Black Metal (It doesn't sound right) Yeah, Blut Aus Nord is pretty good.

Possibly my favorite French BM band overall.

Deathspell Omega, Eikenskaden, Veles, Ankhreg, Belenos, Hirilorn, Ad Hominem, Antaeus, etc. They have one hell of a scene over there, believe it or not.
