New site? Maybe some day.
I saw these guys at Obriens at some show but I didn't like it that much. I saw them a few nights ago in Chelmsford and the bassist had switched to second guitar and they were pretty fucking good that way.
I agree with you 100%.
We made a hasty judgment call to go with the traditional 3-piece bass/vocals, guitar, drums lineup at that last O'Briens gig. I had played bass on the first demo and some of the tunes on the 2nd demo, so that was just the natural choice for the moment. It wasn't my favorite performance either. I'd rather be playing my primary instrument while doing the vocals.
That said, we do have a new bass player (Tony from Hatchet), he was just away this week. He'll be integrated into the set over the next two gigs, and all this flip-flopping will come to an end.
Cool man, I look forward to seeing you guys again with your full line up. |
Yeah both you guys can shred your asses off, don't waste those triplets on a bass |
play a show I can get to. |
EXTINCTION AGENDA / HATCHET split CD would be awesome.
Hatchet is a good time as well |
HATCHET has hit a few roadblocks in the recording process, like having the damn rehearsal building flooded and shut down, but it will be finished soon. |
ive yet to see EA, but the demos are awesome. can't wait until the 15th, that show is gonna be so sick! |
glad I picked up the demo at the show. It's killer |
Extinction Agenda and Hatchet are both awesome. Methuen brings the metal. The show in Haverhill on 6/6/06 is gonna rule. |
Methuen has the same first three letters as Metal. |
They should change Methuen to Metalin Massachusetts. |
How can you poseurs forget this band? Too kvlt for humanity. I believe the first victims were in Methuen.
Lord Whisker is so Grimm and Necro. |
What about Krucix.
And Terrasphere....?
December Wolves and Meliah Rage too. |
I'm still waiting for the Dungeonbat reunion. |
Fuck, what about Dungeonbat.
Methuen IS pretty goddamn metal after all. |
Orkatak.
Bruticus.
Thaumiel.
You could go on forever with that damn town...err....city....whatever. |
The Shitty known as the town of Metal-thuen |
The Year of our lord (Lacasse at least) |
What about those kids? What was it, Dusk Raven?
Also,
Maggotinfested Corpsepile.
Sieghammer.
Even if I haven't condemned those yet upon the world. |
Yeah it was Dusk Raven
Hells infinite 6
Godsmack (We'll ignore that one)
Naming all your bands is cheating Scott
What was the name of the band you played in years ago that opened for Dungeonbat. You played at the lawrence nights of columbus and Mark Guy did vocals? |
That was Thaumiel. I just realized I have been in like 60% of the metal bands from Methuen.
We probably shouldn't count Godsmack, Cave In, Swivel, .357 Noise, Project Unconfined, or Ironhide as metal, even if they all had those elements.
What about Contempt? We were pretty much thrash, that was my first band in high school with John Lacroix who would go on later to Ten Yard Fight, etc. |
I don't remember Comtempt. But Thaumiel was awesome. |
Way before your time.
Thaumiel's songs were later morphed into Dungeonbat songs, some of the ones we never recorded (there were many). Coincidentally, Dave and Mark from Thaumiel are now in Shroud of Bereavement together, who should also be considered a Methuen metal band if Mark is still living here (?)
And fuck, I almost forgot Dead Moss! An improv death metal band I was in back in high school, We recorded two tapes and actually played a show in someone's garage. Talking about underground. |

Hah. Madcap was basically the same band as Contempt, just with different singers and a more diverse style. Ghidorah certainly qualifies as part metal too.
O.K. we got it you have a monopoly on metal in Methuen. LoL |
Heh, nah, I wasn't in any of the more successful bands.
Were you there when someone (can't remember who) played a Clones of Death song over the intercom at Methuen High? |
Unfortunitely I went to Central Catholic not Methuen High. The most unmetal high school on the planet. But I think I'm the only one in the history of the school to have a picture wearing a Slayer shirt in the yearbook. |
Did you go to school with Frank Napolitano? |
I would think he also graduated around then, but alas, you don't know him. |
Nope. I was best friends with Jay Treasure who used to live down the street from you. |
Yes, yes, I know Jay Vieira all too well. His mother used to think I was the devil.
I should get a new soundcard and transfer a lot of this shit from tapes to audio files. |
Don't worry his mom and Dennis thought I was a bad influence on him too. You should definetly transfer that stuff off of tape. I'd love to have it. |
I know the Swivel stuff, the three Dungeonbat demos before the album, and the .357 rap metal all got transfered to CDs somewhere. |
I still have the swivel and .357 noise demos on casette and the dungeon bat siege of Eden. I wouldn't mind hearing the other stuff too though. |
Awww yeah, check out the sexy new prototype:
That's the most Thrash logo I've seen in years. |
It's sleeker than the previous logo, and will match up with more cover art, shirts etc. The previous logo was great but the skull thing was too close to the Kreator/Destruction mascots for comfort.
This might not be the final, but I love it. Imagine it as a hood ornament... |
I can see it on a 3/4 sleeve baseball shirt right now. |
did livoti make that logo?
extinction agenda is fucking excellent... more people need to get into them. my favorite thrash metal band in the area. |
It is a Livoti premium, yes. |
looking 4 357 noise demos does anyone have axcess to them |
Please tell me someone still has 357 noise demo tape!!!! Would love to turn them into mp3 format.
