Too bad some of your bands couldn't be on this bill I'm calling the shots along with New England Concerts on this. I picked Sexcrament and Downfall. We might have room for one more band. But, you'll have to sell 50 tickets to play the show.........

i'm psyched as hell to be on this show (i'm in sexcrement), but i think if 4 locals are required to sell 50 tickets each, all 4 bands would have to take a shitload of money out of their pockets to cover for all the tickets. if there are 4 bands having to sell tickets, in my opinion, each band should only have to sell around 35 tickets or so to equal the original 150 being sold. it makes sense given how things work with the scene in MA and the rest of new england. like i said, just my opinion

The Cryptopsy show costs over $3000.00....... That's why the bands have to sell 50 tickets.

I know that selling tickets are a pain in the ass.... But, that's what it takes to make sure that these national bands get paid. If the opening bands didn't do this.... then New England Concerts wouldn't be able to put these shows on.

Shit, I sold 70 tickets myself (I didn't buy them like a lot of bands have been doing) for the Over Kill show we did at Mark's last March.

I think Goodtimes holds like 600 people........ May'be a little more.

anyone who legitimately thinks that throwing shrapnel is metalcore, is clinically deaf or has no clue what metalcore is. you can hate or love them as much as you want, but there is no metalcore in a band that takes huge influence from predominantly grind, crust, powerviolence, sludge and doom.

this show is way the fuck over booked. none of the locals have a guestlist at all. i don't think sexcrement will have too much of a problem selling most if not all of the tickets, but seriously...this is fucking retarded. as much as i want to play with cryptopsy, i hope i never have to do this again. 9 bands on one show with only 2 nationals is not a good strategy for show-booking ethics. ESPECIALLY when the same 2 nationals are playing a relatively short distance from boston the next day, and to top it off, there are other shows with national acts going on the same day and the day after, all within a pretty close distance. that's just my piece...it does not reflect my band's opinion. just thought i'd throw that out there to be safe. i'm excited to play this show regardless and hope to see many people there.

I'm not sure what will happen to the earth on the day that the first CSDO CD is burnt, dyed, and shrink wrapped. It's going to be one of those "did hell just froze over?" moments. For the past um.. 9? years, Eric keeps promising it will be out... soon. I got to play a couple tracks from CDrs that Eric hand delived to my radio show to actual samplers from the label.

Before that, I remember "check out the tape that's coming out soon!".

And beieve it or not, I've unearth some almost totally destroyed CSDO 8-track cassettes. I'm serious there folks too. it's from the late 80's. I'm 99% sure that it's not eric singing on it cause the voice sound nothing like him. But, the 8-track has a song that they still play (it might be holocaustic.. or something like that I forget now).

I like CSDO, but not having a release has put a limbo like status on the band. almost like the DVD.. er... VHS.. um.. BETA? is on pause, but you were on pause long enough for nuclear war to come back in vogue. They need to release a CD and make this stamp on their career so that they can move on and write all new stuff for the second album. though.. I'm kind of afraid to wait for a 2nd album... maybe my future kids will get it new on their radio shows when they are in college doing a radio show.

anyhow, my point is, stuff gets in the way; work, family, sleep, and life in general. there are always excuses from the labels to studio to whatever. but just focus. tell screaming ferret they have x months and if they can't do it in that time, take the tracks you have recorded, take $1000 and get as many CDRs as-you-can-get-made made and sell them for $3 each or something and get on with the new stuff.

I honestly don't care that eric knows jon connelly, secrement has members of goratory in it, how many CDs/tickets you sold or any of that window dressing and name dropping bs. when someone tells me a factlets like that I go

and then plunk it off the pitfall in my mind into the big circular bin.

That 8 track dat you have at the studio was from 1992. And yes, I was singing on it. My voice has changed quite a bit since then.

You should know how hard things are with record labels. We got offers in the past. We didn't take it 'cause they wanted to own us and we wouldn't have any rights to anything. I signed with Screaming Ferret before they had any kind of distro. It took two years to get distro through SPV for the last two Nuclear Assault cd's. Then a two years ago Screaming Ferret got distro for everybody else. But, the stuff that got out.... They didn't get paid for. Timmy is owed a lot of money. This new distro. deal will give Screaming Ferret total control of every band That sounds good to me!! That means our stuff will be sold across the planet and we'll get paid for it!!!!!!!!!!! When you're in your mid 30's.... You have to make money. I know most of the bands on this board don't care if they see dime one. Just as long as their stuff gets out to people.........
