Tried Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre today. I definitely recommend it.

Post some of your current favorites.

Non-beer drinkers feel free to discuss your favorite stuff too.

call me white trash...i love my budweiser

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Apr 11,2006 8:31pm
nah, it's cool to like Bud. For some reason I Budweiser always gives me a headache, not Bud Light though. Very odd.

I like more flavorful, darker beer personally. That might make me a snob.

toggletoggle post by BMR at Apr 11,2006 8:34pm
Shit, due to my guitar players love of wierd beers I've tried some strange shit as of late, none of which I really liked. I don't remember the names of half of them but one of them had dragons and shit on the label, it looked like a Rhapsody cover. I'm a big fan of the Seadog Blueberry Ale, I'll drink a Heineken any day of the week, but I still think Red Hook is the best.

toggletoggle post by pam   at Apr 11,2006 8:36pm
I drink Bud Light when I want to drink a LOT
I drink Newcastle when I need liquid food AND a buzz.
And I'll drink Guiness in carbomb form.

I also like Killians Irish Red, and the occasional Heineken.

I like beer. It makes me happy.

toggletoggle post by BMR at Apr 11,2006 8:36pm
I forgot about Guinness, preferably on tap.

toggletoggle post by sacreligion at Apr 11,2006 8:44pm

Pam, Newcastle is my favorite beer overall. So cheers to that.

toggletoggle post by wade nli at Apr 11,2006 8:46pm
when i left my old job they gave me a 30-pack of PBR. I don't have time to drink so I'm still hitting that up.

toggletoggle post by pam   at Apr 11,2006 8:46pm
Newcastle rules.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Apr 11,2006 8:46pm
what an odd send off

toggletoggle post by wade nli at Apr 11,2006 8:50pm
hey i'll take it, hah.

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Apr 11,2006 8:55pm
Smithwicks, Bass, or Guiness.

but Blue Moon isnt bad either.

toggletoggle post by thedeparted   at Apr 11,2006 8:59pm
i like becks ha

i was never a big fan of guiness until i drank a few of my guitarists for free before he got to practice

toggletoggle post by Nobody Cares nli at Apr 11,2006 9:47pm
Hopping Mad Trout Scottish Ale gets me wrecked
I tried some shit called Steel Reserve that was 8.1 %
Sam Lager
Sam Hefeweisen
Blue Moon is kind of a new thing for me
As we speak I'm drinking a Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Apr 11,2006 9:48pm
Harpoon Oatmeal Stout was pretty good last weekend.

The Dogfish Head stuff I'm drinking is 8% Newport Storm's Chloe is 8.6%

toggletoggle post by mOe nli at Apr 11,2006 9:52pm
the stuff i drink varies mostly by what i can afford...
i'm a college kid with no money so i'm on a 2-3 40 oz. a week diet now...usually Schlitz Bull Ice which is like 8.7%
when i have money i get the Pete's wicked Ale variety pack with the regular and Cream ale's and the Strawberry Blonde Ale which is one of my favorites.
I just trued UFO hefeweizen Rasberry ale and that KICKED my ass, havent found it around here, though.
I've also known to frequent good ole Pabst and Killian's Irish Red

toggletoggle post by RabbitFetus   at Apr 11,2006 10:14pm
Dos Equis is really good. Mexican Import brewed by a German dude, however that works. PBR and Amstel are good.

I just try to stray from Bud Light or Natty Ice. :gag:

I've lived in Chelmsford for like 3-4 years and I just, as of 2 weeks or so ago, discovered a liquor store that has a huge selection of specialty beers. I just googled for specialty beer distros...

I'll talk cheap beer for now. Been consuming many Busch Light 20 packs ($10 at the store!) for the past few months. Also Narragansett is delicious, I've had the pleasure of turning on a few people to that, I mainly choose that cause it's local.

toggletoggle post by metalguy at Apr 12,2006 1:01am
I usually like a Guiness when I am eating
Sam Adams or Bass for when I cannot get Guiness.
Bluemoon on occassions.
Bud Light for partying!!

i cant get more than 3 sips of beer down in one sitting. The taste/feel of it makes me want to vomit. Any advice on overcoming that?

toggletoggle post by pisscup at Apr 12,2006 11:51am
I could name a bunch of fancy micro brews that I enjoy, but there is only one beer that I consider my favorite -

toggletoggle post by Beaver McD at Apr 12,2006 12:07pm
Smithwicks
Killians
Guinness
New Castle Brown Ale
All seasonal Sam Adams, Sam Hefeweizen and Sam Light
Bass but only in a Black and Tan
Bud/Bud Light/Miller High Life if I don't have a lot of money

I had a Wachusett Blueberry for the first time the other day with fresh blueberries in it, that was really good

I can't stand Heineken, it always tastes skunked to me for some reason

toggletoggle post by HailTheLeaf  at Apr 12,2006 12:54pm edited Apr 12,2006 12:55pm
