How fucking awesome is this kid?!?! That is the future of the Boston Red Sox we're watching folks, the kid is going to be a 20 game winner as soon as next year. It's just a shame Fat Ass Wells is taking up his rotation spot, but I guess it's a blessing in disguise with Paps closing.

Am I the only one that thinks this year could be special? I'm pretty pumped up!!

Papelbon has been lights out. Perfect in all three relief appearances, two saves, absolutely manhandled the meat of the Orioles lineup in the ninth and made Kevin Millar look stupid on the last pitch of the game. He was consistantly hitting 95-96-97.

Schilling was impressive again, too. He hit 96 on his last pitch of the game in the seventh, striking out Javy Lopez.

4-1 and Schilling is already 2-0. Josh Beckett is a monster. Coco Crisp already has me saying "Johnny who?" This team is going to be nasty.

like i said im waiting till the allstar break before i jump in head first

toggletoggle post by wade nli at Apr 8,2006 11:44pm
word...i did see a lot of the Oriole ass-raping (was it 14-8?) replayed today. and some Crisp highlights looked fuckin awesome.

toggletoggle post by JayTUS nli at Apr 8,2006 11:50pm
16-8. Crisp is like Dave Roberts with more tallent and more pop in his bat. Both of his parents were College/Olympic sprinters...

I can't wait for the first week of July. The Red Sox play three in Miami against the Marlins and four in Tampa Bay against the Devil Rays. I am trying to make it to all seven games!! If I can only do one or the other, though, I am going to Miami because I did Tampa Bay last year...

now that I know a game's on at 1:35 tomorrow, I'll be watching.

toggletoggle post by whiskey_weed_and_women  at Apr 8,2006 11:58pm

Good and bad news today:

The good - Papi signed on for four more years!!
The bad - Coco is out 4-6 weeks with a fractured finger...

5-1 is a great way to start the season!!

no bigdeal as long as stern can continue what he started in baltimore, i mean hes not crisp by any stretch but he did a damn fine job with that start. heres hoping the goodtimes continue to roll in for the Sox

toggletoggle post by wade nli at Apr 10,2006 10:55pm

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Apr 10,2006 11:02pm

Papelbon's badass.

And Stern's not bad. He's no Coco, but he's not bad.

where you sitting? i just grabbed some box93 seats yesterday.
Wells vs. Lilly. this could be good or bad...

Josh Beckett is the fucking man too. Papelbon has only given up one HIT in all five games he's pitched. I have a really good feeling about this season!!!
