I'm about to come back to my beloved New England tomorrow, but a few days ago I went to this incredible exhibit that has caused some amount of controversy in Florida. It's actual dead bodies that were preserved and some were cut in half with all the organs still intact. Genitals, nails, hair, all still intact on display, no glass or anything. The site is http://www.mosi.org/ that is what they actually look like. I would explain the muscle as looking like corned beef. They also had bodies that they only preserved the blood vessels which looked amazing. There was also a fetus room. They had glass cases with cancerous organs (breast, brain, testicles). It was a pretty overwhelming experience and almost hard to believe that it was once real humans. It's only open until early April so I guess I was lucky to be down here right now. As I was walking through I just kept thinking about medical grindcore and how a thousand songs could be and have been made just off the human body.
