is there some kind of conspiracy that it is not happening? Ussually by now they would have all the bands up on the palladium website, but I have not even heard one shred of news about it this year.

toggletoggle post by rigor penis at Jan 16,2006 2:28pm

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Jan 16,2006 2:35pm

Exodus got a show date in Worcester in late April.I wonder if this is the same date as the NE Metalfest.Ive never to the NE Metalfest and I wont go unless theres 4 or 5 real good bands on the bill.

toggletoggle post by cav at Jan 16,2006 2:56pm
they dont usually post the bands until Feb. but the date is usually up by the end of Jan. some say that its going to fall on the day thay cryptopsy is coming to Worcester. i dont know.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jan 17,2006 3:26pm
its gotten progressively worse as the years have gone by. the last good year was the one with Cannibal Corpse/Dimmu Borgir/The Haunted/Lamb of God the first night, and Meshuggah/Opeth the next. there were a bunch of good bands on that one. Exhumed, Dying Fetus, Averse Sefira, Pessimist, and some others that i have since forgotten.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 17,2006 4:07pm
hm.. it's on the events page....

toggletoggle post by xmichaelx at Jan 17,2006 9:03pm
i hope there is more grind this year and less metalcore

toggletoggle post by xmichaelx at Jan 17,2006 9:04pm
ps. that is way to much to ask for

2003 best year ever. Opeth headlined the first night. Meshuggah closed Saturday before Superjoint but they don't count.

I'm pretty sure that Cryptopsy tour is here for it. Skinless had a press release last week that said they are no longer banned and are playing the fest this year.

toggletoggle post by Josh603 at Jan 29,2006 4:50pm
Cryptopsy
Exodus
Immolation
Full Blown Chaos

I left the Palladium before Meshuggah because they kicked everyone out of the "backstage" (AKA side stage) and I didn't feel like going out into the crowd. Chilled outside until Superjoint went on, and then I left.

But yes, I would have to agree that it was the best year ever. Although I may be biased, because Suffocation's vocalist's daughter didn't throw me the horns any other year.

toggletoggle post by pam   at Jan 29,2006 11:34pm
I only go to this fest if I get in for free. Any good bands that play I usually have already seen. KD was pretty damn awesome last year though.

toggletoggle post by i_am_not_me   at Jan 30,2006 12:17am
Gamma Ray is rumored.

And I would've fucking KILLED to see King Diamond last year.

toggletoggle post by littlebitch at Jan 30,2006 12:34am
Gamma Ray is not just rumored. Their site confirms that they're performing April 30
