Ra;ph Santolla wi;; be playin Guitar for them and Dave will be playing drums |
I like the TERATISM logo, it should just be thicker, or outlined, like on the 1st CD.
it should be scrapped and be completely re-thought |
i just like the fact ill be able to see teratism on the 28th ! |

brian_dc said: I'm still going, but I know at least 10 people who aren't going because of the price. definitely kinda shitty. |
its why i wont be there |
If anybody could be so kind as to quest list me, that would be very nice of you, since i have exactly enough money just for gas to get there.
anybody. |
Would I be allowed to bring my camera in? Like a Rev sized camera? |
I have to pay $100 to set up my table, so stop bitching about $17.00, the band had to fly 2 people in from FL.

that cause you're trying to make money off of this show, and i dont care who had to fly in from where and why. still not paying 17 bucks to see a local show |
i just dont have any money. |

I'd rather they left Glenn in Florida. |
Vital is amazing
I'm leaving in an hour or so to get there in time to see Teratism. To be honest, they're the band I want to see most besides Vital. I have not seen any of these bands live before.
I'm gonna get all sorts of cherries popped. |
ill be there but dont expect me to be coherent if anyone says hi |
I try again...Am I allowed to bring in my camera?!?! |

carrot, if you can, find me.
should be no issue. |
leaving for show now...there by the time anyone reads this. |
EVERYONE MUST GO.
seriously, do it. i mean come on, vital remains rules. as does grief and sin of angels and i, destroyer and teratism.
think about it. vital remains. with grief. and sin of angels. and i, destroyer. and teratism. |
there are an ok # of people here so far. teratism just finished. |
teratism: this time with a real sound set up, I got to hear jay for "real" this time. It sounded really good. I'm glad they jumped on to this after the dee dee's show cancelled. it definely pumped up the death metal levels of this show. DOM sang for most of the first few songs. I can wait to hear a recording with the new line up. unforunately for us, they (and by they I'm guessing its rob) are really hard on them selves and anal musically so we probably won't hear a new single track until a full CD is done and mastered, you bastards.
I, Destroyer: I took a picture which I label "contegion not liking I, destroyer". For those of you who don't know, bob was the singer for dropdead (sort of a big deal in punk history). They are like a groovier dropdead. Bob's vocals are pretty unmistakably him. He usually is in the crowd for the whole set, but only were in once this time. I think the typical olnyville crowd was kept away by the $20 pricetag. there is usually a better feel from the audience for them and a hellofalotof thrash dancing from the crowd. I had planned on shooting more songs at the end of their set, but it ended REALLY abruptly. |
yea, Ive realised that i dont feel like standing out in the cold with no money for the rest of the night, so i wont be there.
too rich for my blood... are we gonna change the name of the venue to the palladium? |
no, at the palladium, this would have been $12-$15.
I'm pretty sure tony (vital) set this all up so he's stressing out about there not being 200 people here. this is still a good turn out for the livingroom. actually, excellent for the livingroom. I would guess there are 100 people here. not that much $ after you pay for glen and the club. |
yea, less money would have brought more people, hense making more in the long run. o well. |
sin of angels: damn, even with just 1 guitar, they lay the dirge down really thick. It's odd that they are a 3 piece still, but it still sounds so good. Soundwise, the kick was loud at first, but other than that, it was perfect. Since their songs are like 9 minutes long, they could only play 4 songs.
it's at this point, I would like to make a comment on the ordering of the bands. I think the show should have started 30 minutes later (so more people could get in before it started). And then grief, soa first so people could stand around, get super drunk, headbanging to they slower acts. Then I, destroyer to pump up a drunk crowd.
and teratism right before vital so the really drunk crowd can stop drinking and just headbang/fist pump.
Finally, vital. I think with the slower bands later, people are going to be not as sober driving home. |
grief: this is one of probably the best sounding grief sets to date. Everything was perfectly loud enough. I think this actually sounds better than the reunin show at the middle east. The only thing that would make it better is if that guitar player from NY (whos name I forget) was there too. His antics were hilarious. Though, there was a drunk guy heckling them. That was hilarious. This time, they have merch for people so get a shirt from them. |
oh and the sound guy messed up with the samples. I destroyer had a sample, but instead the kill almost began. |
Just got back. Typing is really difficult at the moment. Boy am i fucked up. I thought everyone played well but i think the soundguy kind of sucked. The bass and kick were way too loud; i could barely hear what they were doing. Hopefully they were able to hear each other on stage. Good time regardless. Anyways im still hallucinating so im gonna go downstairs and watch some silent films. |
dammit Jay, I had an eye out for you all night and didn't see you...fucking shorthair |
The sound was a bit horrible for Vital, I agree. I also agree with Rev about the order of bands, Teratism/Vital would've been the best way to get a little more energy going into Vital.
Bought a Malignancy CD from Dwyer, we had an awkward moment when I didn't know which CD to take....the one from the box or the one he just pulled up from under the table.
Awkward...it was cute. |
at the end of the day...Vital was fucking awesome (even though I think their fill-in guitarist didn't know exactly what was going on from one part to the next usually) |
I forgot...I was disappointed when Glenn announced that he signed on to do the next Vital album. I was really fucking hoping that Anthony was going to get a shot to get on record with them. |
The show was great. I thought the order was a little strange too, but I have to admit that I really enjoyed Sin of Angels and Grief. I thought Vital ripped shit up. I was directly in front, and it sounded fine to me. However I was not in the direct path of the Club's speakers. Maybe is sounded like shit everywhere else.... I had a blast. |
vital remains fuckin slayed. and yea, we werent into the sludge at all. it was good for what it was, but i need fast shit. i cant wait to see that picture. and vital had awesome sound if you had ear plugs in, the only bogus aspect was the fact that the subwoofers would kick out every now and again. and glen benton straight up rules, no matter what anyone says. dave suzuki > life. |
long ass drive home.
fuck you boston for 93 being closed.
10 minutes from home |
Great show thatnks to all who came esapecialy Teratism and Grief, who absolutley slayed. the rev as always for being there and snaping photos . I, destroyer who own providence!!!!!! Final tally for the show was just over 200+ who came. Not to bad For A "Local Show" thanks to all who bought merch and even if yea Didnt't like the DOOM!!!!!! i thought it was a great night!!!!!! |
I would have guessed there was 130 there at one time. |
That would of been my guess too but figues with everyone coming and going out side and shit from smoking . the final door tally was just over 200 so not a bad night Vital ruled no matter what!!!!! got to give Ralph crdit w/ just 3 days practice and shit was good |

Ha ha, my friends behind the table were like "Just take any one, dude!".
Good times. I thought everyone was great. I really enjoyed Sin of Angels, it was my first time hearing them. Vital was great. You could definately tell the lead guitarist wasn't comfortable with his parts but I thought he pulled it off fine. Dave is such beast but he really needs to be up front. I need those doubled vocal parts of MIGHT! |

yea i was pissed that the vocals werent doubled. thats half the battle right there. but he kicked ass on drums.
It was my first time seeing I, Destroyer live and they were great!
Dave's vocals were top notch last night, I think Sin of Angels is one of the only bands they got better with less members. |
you are forgetting phantom limb... did you say that they were even more awesomer with out a drummer? |
killer fuckin time!! thanx to ray and tony! |
SOA , I Destroyer,Grief kicked ass. I missed Terratism which sukked. Ithought Glen Benton looked like friggin Tom Savini in "Knight Riders" but Vital still ripped. |
great show! Thanks to everyone who came out, bands, Aaron, Ray, the sound guys.... My liver hurts..... literally. |
and john for the 151... sorry john. I haven't drank any yet. |
oh man that shirt IS awesome!!
is it me or did Vital play way to short? 4 or 5 songs off Dechristianize...the Deicide cover was cool though. |
It was short for Vital, but their songs are long anyways. I thought it was just right. they didn't over do it. |
vital sucked and benton did a horrible job at vocals, the pa sounded like horseshit and I want my 20$ back! |
I am also disappointed that Glen is doing the vocals on the next CD, I wanted to hear Anthony's vocals recorded and on CD.
In the latest issue of Decibel they review the VITAL REMAINS Horrors of Hell CD and they write "Alas, the band has joined unholy forces with everyone's favorite Metal clown of late, Glen Benton - all the more reason to treasure these grinds from the past."
Century Media ruining a good thing. Sounds about right. |
none of the bands got a dime either..even after Vital raised the door to $20. |
whoa! I didn't know it got raised to $20.00!
That's about $4000.
And I had to borrow gas money to get there. |
I shoulda been sellin shots of 151 in the parkin lot! |
good times were had. thanks raymond for the beers. smoked so much weed that night. thanks to everyone who came out, I know $20 is a bit much. too rich for my blood. grief finally has some shirts, I think we have about 15 left if anyone is interested. they are 2-sided, $10. |
yes good times the Grief, Sin of Angels, Drunkorama Continues.......my liver needs a break |
i'm in love with that girl in that slayer shirt up front.
she needs to be my bride.
if you are that girl, and you read this.
be my bride.
love forever, brendan mcvay. |
i went there with no supplies and my brain was like oatmeal in a ziplock bag by the time we played
thanks to anyone who helped destroy my brain
i needed it
and thanks for the shirt ray. i wore it to work and got a somewhat dirty but more just odd, look from someone within 24 hours
and that guy did look like tom savini
i was waiting for humungous from the road warrior to do a guest guitar solo, without Mel Gibson that band is nothing
DRUNK GUYS BEING DRUNK!!!!!! [/IMG] |
haha, i was wrecked by the end of the night. |
I'm still cleaning the puke outta my shoes.... |
it was totally surreal smoking fatties with Benton and talking about his divorce and favorite cartoons... |
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Dude, some people REALLY ripped into Vital on there...wow! |
yeah, I wanted to say something but didn't feel like signing up at blabbermouth |
I really enjoyed that grief set. Does anyone know what songs they played? I'm thinking of getting into them.
what songs and deicide cover did vital play???? |
why dosent tony play anymore? |
what songs and deicide cover did vital play????
they played 'lunatic of god's creation', and only new vital....:yawns: |
"grief set. Does anyone know what songs they played? I'm thinking of getting into them. "
i dont know about the order but i think i remember these songs;
no escape
ruined
fucked upstairs
one of those days
polluted
i hate the human race
world of hurt
let the killing begin, dechristianize, infidel, devoured elysium, savior to none failure for all, at war with god, lunatic of gods creation. |
Vital Remains: so dave was on drums for them. I haven't seen that for 4 years! They got guy from iced earth to play with them it was funny cause during sound check, he played part of a dying fetus song (i think it was justifiable homicide). Tony and dave mostly set up the sound on the stage. During the set up, it was just them on stage. I've never seen tony's hands move so fast.So eventually, glenn benton finally came out on the stage and they started in to the normal vitalcide songs that they do with glenn. granted dechristianize is an awesome album, but I wish they could have played older tracks like they did with anthony. they played a really short set, that was kind of disappointing too. oh well. they ended after we found out that glenn will be recording the new CD with them. |
i was disappointed when they kicked all the other bands out of "the little room" so that they could put on their postapocalyptic activeware and get ready to rumble
and over the fact that they jacked up the already overpriced show as the night went on
i''d wager that the place would have been twice as filled if the price wasn't so high |
anyone find a leather jacket that with a teratism patch there?..i left it an gettin a hold of the club is impossible! |
