they can't possibly think there a metal band. Unless it's all some huge trick that was thought up just to piss people off. In which case, bravo, they've accomplished it.

coheed and cambria is sucks in a really bizarre way.

i saw one music video where they had a lot of cheesy 80's metal imagery, but that doesn't mean they think they're a metal band. if they wanted to be a metal band, they'd play metal music, but they don't play metal, they play sucky weenie music.

I'm sooo tired of hearing about this stupid band.

i also think they suck, but claudio is better at guitar than probably anyone on this board

i think coheed and cambria writes some good songs but i can't take that singer's voice for too long. i remember hating them when i first heard them, but the new album has grown on me a bit. nothing i'd listen to alot though.

I didn't know they were emo though... is that what emo is? They kinda sounded like proggish/alt rock with kinda sissy vocals (ala Rush) to me. I never thought of emo as borrowing from prog rock? I don't know, this "emo" genre confuses me.

I only have their second album. I like it, but I find myself more keen to hum some parts of it to myself than to listen to it, if that makes any sense.
