I mean, this site doesn't spam and is private enough that signing up shouldn't be an issue for anyone.

I like the timer idea better than my old system of registering the names of annoying anonymous posters so they can't use them anymore. That's right cocklover, whatcha gonna do now!

Making the letters in a poster's name have a limit. And if you can see the IP's from anonymous users, have an anonymous poster be forced to make an account after posting 5 times from the same IP.

Posting the IP in the profile will be good because, it still gives you the 'veil of anonyminity' on posts, but if youre a cock, and nli, and I think I know who you are, I can click whoevers profile, that I think the dick is, and call you out on it, if the ips match.
Its the best of both worlds without just banning anon posters and posting Ip s in the threads.

i don't like how whenever aaron and i go away for a while that shit happens...there are too many anon assholes, making people log in will help somewhat..yes perhaps some people might register a fake name, but that will take some time out of their lives...the past while too many lame anon posts that are a waste of space...but i doubt aaron will do that...so don't let them create threads...and also limit times they can post

i already gave aaron my opinion but i figured i'd type it hear anyhow.

i'm especially pissed off because we left early to get extra time with my family and aaron actually had WORK to finish up and then the poor guy had to waste time trying to fix the crap that happened.

i'd say restricting annonymous posters from starting threads is a little too far, but it's on the right track though. i know i've started a few not logged in threads.
maybe have an allocation of thread starts per day, and posts per day based upon ip address when an annonymous user is online.
say one or two new threads per day, and 10-15 posts per day.
that should be enough for anyone who really "needs" to be anonymous, even though it really isn't a necessity.
it's more logical than a timer, all a timer would do is allow abusers to peruse gay porn more freely... and none of us need that.

i don't know if that's really possible to do... i don't know much about coding and developing internet gobledeegook. but an idea is an idea.

I think the timer is a great idea. Powerkok, I'm not sure, but I think when he was talking about the timer, he was saying it would only apply to anonymous posters, so as long as you are logged in, that shouldn't be a problem.

And I think Pk's idea about having everyone's IP address in their profile is a very good one. I'd love to see some anon posters get called out. I havn't yet encountered any real reason for anyone to want to post anonymously on this board, so I don't see how the kok's idea is a bad one. If someone who has an account on here really really needs to post anonymously, then they can use a different computer; god knows everyone has access to more than one.
