There is a double digi and a double vinyl out now. What, you got a CD that doesn't play in your computer or something??

Picked it up a few weeks ago. Fucking badass. Although it's a bit weird to have those few death metal songs amidst all the old-school-black-metal stuff. But that's Absu for you, I guess.

I got it a couple of weeks ago, it rules.

They played in my hometown in 1995 with ENSLAVED, INCANTATION and DECEMBER WOLVES (1st show), one of the best shows ever.

ah...this is old news...but I'll finally answer

yeah, my copy of Tara doesn't play on computers

which sucks, because right now I don't have a regular CD player outside of my car, just the ol' computer and iPod...can't put tara in the iPod since it never gets to the computer though.

toggletoggle post by BornSoVile   at Dec 16,2005 1:03am
no way man, that's fuct. i lost my burn of Tara, but I still have the vinyl. Good to see you like Absu, fucking sick band, totally overlooked.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Dec 16,2005 1:04am
lovvve Absu...I need to pick up a cheap player so I can listen to it again.

It had some sort of digital coding on the CD to keep people from burning it...it was the European import...so I don't know if it's different from whatever you burned...but becasue of that it didn't work on computers...total pain in the ass.

what's your e-mail address I have Tara on my computer, I'll zip it up and use yousendit.com to fire it over to you.

then when you're done downloading it, put the yousendit link up here and let the wolves do battle over the remaining downloads

toggletoggle post by watchmaker666  at Dec 16,2005 7:45am
Absu is one of those bands that when you hear 5 min of them it makes you want to quit playing music cause you will never be as good as them

I feel the same way when I listen to Into Eternity, Rush, Necrophagist, Spawn of Possession, Decapitated and of course Absu (amongst the many)

Well, I sold this to a co-worker at Newbury Comics in Natick cause he's into Celtic Music, naturally I recommended Absu. Regardless, his whole thing buying an album, ripping it, then selling it back to the store. Sooooo, I was shocked to see this DOUBLE ALBUM on sale for $6.99! Stop by the Natick store if you want it!

toggletoggle post by Mess at Dec 28,2006 12:51pm
is this album full of previously unreleased stuff? or is it new material?

I've been thinking about buying this but I don't really have any expendable cash at the moment. Absu rule though. "Tara" blew my mind when I first heard it.
