Don't get me wrong, I like death and black too...but LOVE thrash!! Thrash had so many bands and ALL of them had such identity...you knew the bands instantly just by one riff or scream...Kreator was diferent from Testament who was different from Voi Vod who was different from Venom etc...not one band could be confused with or mistaken for another. I hope there is a surge of great thrash to come as it seems there is a "revival" (for lack of a better word) starting...I'm curious as to what other think...

no need for a revival, they're so much killer stuff from the past. I'm always discovering some killer unknown demo or release. No need to have some imitators doing it today.

I just heard a track from MUNICIPAL WASTE...total 80's crossover like DRI, Suicidal Tendencies and COC (who were considered thrash back then too!)...these guys were just being born when it all happened and their sound is EXACTLY like the old days!! I hope others take the sprit and sound to a new dawn of thrash!!

municipal waste does rule.
thrash is the kind of music that metal kids, skaters, and punks cna all enjoy.

i actually, would like to make it down there one day. I've rebuilt a few of those mansions, and theyre beautiful... hopefully the metal is as good...

maybe a list should be started of thrash bands/releases that people own and one can see what one has/doesn't have so they can check them out...thoughts?
