New site? Maybe some day.

Anyone going to anyone of the many eastcoast club shows??? |
No. Nobody is going at all. When you arrive it'll be just you all alone in the venue with the band playing. |
orpheum sucks..its got seats ...dont know why they picked that place |
orpheum is a cool place
tickets are like $70 plus ticketmaster charges...ridiculous
i was suppsoed to shoot it and then i was told they removed all photo passes .... i sent an email again for an update...but doubt it... |
here is comes........
NINE INCH NAILS BLOWS |
Thank you -- someone needed to state the obvious. |
they're just a poor man's skinny puppy. |
I would have gone...
but no one replied to me about photopasses...
so I no go.
sucks cause I've liked them for a long time, saw them 3 (94,95,02) times. |
well i got answers but looks like there are no photo passes |
i hate this damn band...and its not like an "i used to like them before i grew up/they releeased that album that sucked" hate...its a bottom of my soul hatred...this band sucks |
I hate them. Always have. |

yeah i fucking want one, you got one. let's go, make with the medal. |
I must admit to liking bjork.
The nin song in nbk is cool, but I think its cuz I associate it with the movie too much. |
a soccer medal, come on man.....i was hoping for at least best attendance ! |
i've never been a fan of nine inch nails, but i don't really despise them either. i do think they are one of the most overrated bands ever though. |
I liked Nine Inch Nails better when I bought Further Down the Spiral at a yard sale and found Tom Waits' "Bone Machine" in the case instead. |

nine inch nails are NOT the poor mans skinny puppy. they sound nothing alike. nine inch nails suck. they havent been good since 1992. trent reznor IS the poor man's martin atkins, but i mean hes been sucking him off since the mid 80s. |
i would have liked to go to see The Dresden Dolls |
ok so i just heard back..

YEAH!! NOW I NEED TO GET A PHOTOPASS |

it's funny soo many people IM'ed and emailed me to see if i had extra tix

i'm faxing over my signed photo release now! |
the show should be good. cant usually see them any where except for arenas. |

not Al Jorgensen's 10,000 homo dj's w/trent reznor or Al Jorgensen's Revolting Cocks w/trent reznor
you know what i really miss, is Lard. now that was a good band |
1. trent reznor was never actually in revco
2. thats not trents voice in 1000 homo djs |
dan. said: 1. trent reznor was never actually in revco

check your liner notes, they did different version of 10,000 homo dj's one w/ Al singing and the other w/ Reznor.
and he still played live with the Revolting Cocks so i count him as part of the band. unless you're saying people who don't play on a record but live aren't part of a band. |
uhh he toured with them in 1991 for like 10 shows, i guess if anyone who plays shows with a band is in the band, that changes alot of things.
trent reznor didnt sing any of the 1000 homo dj songs. there are 4, 2 were written by al and were going to be a part of land of rape and honey but never made the cut.
the other song is a spoken word which is read by a cop.
the song you are referring to is supernaut and the version with trents vocals were never released. |
actually, thats a lie. it was released on a wax trax box set which i dont own so i cant confirm. |
pop quiz: who was the cop who read the spoken word part?
martin atkins
i win industrial trivia for today! |

nope supernaut is only one of the songs on there, and he's def singing on more then one track. i still refer to him as being in revolting cocks.
but i've moved on to Lard now |
dan. said: industrial trivia
yeah, i got nothing on that. that's all you |
power of lard is the best album cover ever |
but just for the record, hes not singing on more than one track. the other 2 were written and recorded before he ever even met al. and theres no vocals on the third, so sorry! |

Don't be...
I'm sitting through the dresden dolls now.
Carina is up shooting. Only thing going through my head is camera settings. |
Dresden dolls finished.
Now I'm waiting for NIN. Carina is downfront in the rock star row.
Oh and I saw DOM sitting in the back... I think that dude is stalking me... Seriously!!!! |
Its actually sort of skivey... All the male ushers and security guards are saying dirty things to any girl who walks by with any clevage showing...
If I hear "Yeah, I'll show it to you" one more time, I'm goingto vomit. |
Oh... By that low drone, NIN is about to start!
My inner 14 yo is giddy!!!! |
Song # 10 I think.... It off fragile so I don't care...
Oops..song 11!!! From PHM!!! |
It is true about the comments...I would have gotten aaron up front with the sluts...he would have been my male slut...but then the person whose seat it was arrived...oh well these seats are pretty good...esp when they were free |
#17 its some shitty new song... The synths sound horrible... |
how was the show overall? decent set list? |
pictures..
though carina's are better.
my pictures were with a "shitty digital" from my seat. |
And the photoshopping begins... |
Well I had a good time, song selection could've been better though. Still had fun. But the clap-alongs... no... |
and it trook me long enough to spot you while the rev held my head to point me in the right direction
hahaha |
I just got back from the hammerstein show, pretty good, way to fucking packed.
and that last pic up there is to fucking funny. |
everyone is telling me that it's screaming to be photoshopped but no one has yet.. |
trent reznor is looking old, but i still like him. =) |
seems like hes trying to be bruce sprinstein |
I said robin williams.
my brother said bono. |
dresden dolls: (a review by someone who doesn't like them for people who probably do) they came out holding bands and bowed while their signature music box music played. By they, I mean 2 people. for some reason the multitude they used to be has shrank down. they played a couple songs that were at least familiar to me before breaking into a song that I know all too well, coin operated boy. they invited everyone to stand up and participate in the rock show. this show was seated, but heck! it was a rock show after all. Then they broke into a black sabbath cover, warpigs. for song #5, the drums and keys player switched up. the girl grabbed just a mic and the boy, an acustic guitar... but... it with in a couple seconds, a string broke. I guess it was so important of a string that they stopped that song all together. someone from the crowd yelled "do it acapella!"
to which the girl quickly replied "no, that would sound stupid".
next was another one of their hits, gravity. the guitar player for NIN, jerome?, came out on acustic guitar for their seventh track when it finish, they played the drums to a NIN song, burn I believe.
nine inch nails: Was that robin williams? ha! sorry, he just looked a lot like him (when robin was younger and had jacked arms). well, I've been a fan of NIN since I was 14. back then PHM was the only thing out and broken was a couple years off. I've seen them on 3 of their tours, twice on the downward spiral tour (dec 94 & feb 95), the fragile tour (june 02), and now the with teeth tour (may 05). I wasn't sure what to expect cause this was a little tiny place compared with the arena rock venues they were in the other times. I would have to say that their stage perfomance was better the other time and the whole stage theatrics too. there wasn't much to their stage show, save them being very cocky on stage and a lot of flashing lights. the other times that I saw them, they played on a much larger level. the 2002 show had gigantic LCD panels that rotated around the band members on robotic arms. though, this show was a lot more intimate of an experience for the whole crowd.
they burned through a whole hell of a lot of songs in an hour and a half. from their back catalog, they relied heavily on the fragile CD, but pulled out a track off every major release. they also pulled out a track from the Broken supplement.. tizzight! Someone sent me the set list so I didn't have to figure the songs out from the lyrics notes I made:
you know who you are?
sin
march of the pigs
no, you don't
something i can never have
burn
wish
the hand that feeds
closer (some messed up middle part)
the line begins to blur
home
reptile
with teeth
even deeper
suck (pigface cover)
gave up
hurt
terrible lie
head like a hole
Granted, there are a coupld PHM tracks that I would have loved to have heard, but shit happens.
I had heard previously that the buddyhead/art rock guitarist, Aaron, from the icarus line had joined the NIN fold for their tour... I was a little shocked. I mean, I know the fragile tour lended a filter members but that made sense when I saw them. After hearing the new stuff live, adding Aaron made complete sense. the new material has an art-rock side to it that is just aimed at up-and-coming indie kids to dance too. there is no more of the dark and brooding NIN that girls carrying poetry around in their lunch boxes hating their parents (who ironically probably bought them the CD) along to. now, they have come full circle into the main stream with their new material. this will give them new life, I think. and put them closer to attaining the U2-level that they seem to be aiming for... and by "they" I mean reznor. Anyone who's bee a fan for a long time should notice that his appearence even looks a hell of a lot like bono, even the way that he holds himself on stage.
I hope that this tour comes back and is in a bigger venue. I think that they would easily pull off something in a bigger place equal to the theatrics that went down on the other tours. I had actually hear about the last tours costing WAY TOO MUCH money to produce... and I also heard that this tour was doing very well. I guess when it comes down to it, it's all about the music anyhow... so I will stop complaining, ending this review with my recap in one sentence.
My inner 14 was really pleased even though my outer old man was jaded |
