Nooo!! Saturns are poorly made cars. Join all the other VT hippies and get a Subaru. |
|
umm the rev has a saturn...i'll tell him to post |
|
here's the deal.
paid $5K for a 1995 saturn in 2005 with 39989 miles on it.
I've bought 2 sets of tires and replaced one value thing... that's about $1000 total.
it currently has 220700 miles on it. the engine's starting to knock a little, but I once drove over 100 miles very fast with only 1 quart of oil... I also went 33K miles before the last time I changed the oil and that was almost 30K miles ago. I know the car isn't going to last forever... but it's doing wicked good now. |
|
so, in summary for me.
$6K for almost 5 years of a perfectly running car?
I wish I could do that again! |
|
that doesn't sound like a bad deal... and rev, you must hae good luck with cars. i don't think i've ever made one last more than like 2 or 3 years... |
|
SATURNS ARE MADE BY RAP FANS AND PEOPLE WHO DRESS UP LIKE ICP ON THE WEEKENDS. |

Joe Christianni must be punished |

Go with Honda then. Hondas are solid and they rank higher in the safety category. You can get a brand new Civic for about the same money. |

1) I use synthetic oil
2) I drive 800+ miles a week |
|
i put 50k on an 84 camaro z28 without changing the oil, simply cause i didnt care.
i have a 93 chevy suburban now, with 270k on it, it runs perfect. |
|
are you in a band? do you guys have a van? these are questions you must ask before buying a small car as they become useless in that situation |
|
Well, I am in a band, 2 now actually. BUT i commute an hour and a half to school each way and an hour to band practice each way to school and also drive over 500 miles a week. I was putting over 200 bucks a month in just Gas. Otherwise the van would have been a good idea. The guitarist in one band is talking about buying a van or a suburban. He only needs to drive like a mile anbd a half to work. |
